Adding and subtracting in painting

"(...) my painting is linked to a process of adding translucent layers of colours, which largely accompanies a chromatic subtraction. Plane upon plane, the composition is formulated through countless ponderations and speculations, on the possible effects that a single colour can exert: both on forms and superimposed on other colours.
