In developing countries, particularly in Africa, the widespread use of traditional medicine is often due to its accessibility. Many traditional medicine providers seek continued (or increased) recognition and support for their practices. At the same time, many modern medical professionals, especially those in developed countries with a strong history of medical science, have begun to express strong reservations. Indeed, whereas modern medicine is analytical and attacks the problem with a single molecule, traditional medicine attacks it on several fronts and in a holistic manner. The aim of our study was to clearly identify the obstacles to collaboration between modern and traditional medicine in the commune of Fatick. To promote harmonious cohabitation between these two types of medicine in Senegal's healthcare system, relevant short- and medium-term recommendations were formulated.

The yoke of happiness. The "yoke" is a piece of wood used to hitch pack animals to their carts. I begin by making this provocation about the imposition of discourses of order that tie the subjects of the 21st century to the need to be happy at any cost. Supported by some ideas from Foucault, Freud and Nietzsche, among others, we articulate points and counterpoints of happiness. Let this plot be less an exposition of a particular critique and more an attempt to question what is set about happiness; to distinguish the events that promote it; to present the networks of knowledge that propagate it and to find possible ways to escape the yoke that the discourse of happiness burdens us with. We endeavour to present Happiness in its supposed relationship of completeness and its counterpoints in three areas of human existence: Consumption, Body and Religion. It is not an article against happiness or negativity of its achievement, however, we start from the hypothesis that the imposing way in which Happiness is being presented by the current culture, has more possibility of promoting helplessness than creative fulfilment of the subject.

Currently, personal subsidiary farms (PSF) are considered as one of the forms of citizens' activity on agricultural production. They are one of the small forms of management in the agrarian sector. Personal subsidiary farms of citizens act as stabilizers and additional guarantors of food security, are able to stabilize the production of agricultural products in a short time, as well as without significant additional investment and government support, to improve the situation and conjuncture of the food market. The materials of the international scientific-practical conference reflecting the current state and problems of the economy, directions of increasing the efficiency of production are presented. Technical advances in horizontal well drilling and well stimulation have made possible the commercial production of unconventional resources in the United States, which began in 2007. Brazil is the 10th country in the scale of holders of technically recoverable reserves of shale gas in the world and the exploitation of this resource is directly linked to regulatory and environmental challenges. This book aims to present the current state of unconventional onshore reserves in Brazil and the challenges for their development, using as reference parameters already existing in countries such as Argentina and the United States. Finally, it proposes a theoretical break-even price for a hypothetical shale gas production asset in Brazil, based on assumptions regarding the regulatory and environmental environment, as well as on proprietary data and publicly available information.

This study focuses on the feminization of the teaching profession and the academic success of pupils in CP and CE classes at the IPEP in the 7th Arrondissement "A" of N'Djaména Commune. The main research question is: How does the massive presence of women teachers influence the academic success of CP and CE pupils? The general objective is to identify the mechanisms behind the mobilization of women for the teaching function and the resulting academic success of pupils in CP and CE classes. The general hypothesis underlying this study is that the mobilization of women towards the teaching function favors the success of pupils in the district's CP and CE classes. Two hypotheses were derived from this hypothesis, which enabled us to assess the impact of mobilizing women into the teaching profession on the academic success of pupils in the targeted classes. Qualitative and quantitative approaches were chosen as the methodology. An interview guide was produced for 20 school principals and educational leaders. A questionnaire was administered to 30 female teachers.

This paper studies the legal instruments that regulate the control of the pine weevil pest in the country, and analyses the existing forestry legislation, as well as the constitutional precepts as a starting point, analysing their relationship with environmental law. The environmental forestry regulations are studied in detail in contrast with the municipal regulations in force in the Municipality of Gualaco, making a critical analysis and extending the application of the legislation according to the needs in the incidence and above all in the prevention and control of the pine weevil plague in the Municipality of Gualaco. This research work gathers the opinion of the main actors of the forestry sector at local and national level, specifically those directly related to the prevention and control of the pine weevil pest in the Municipality of Gualaco; which constitutes the basis for a final reflection on the enforcement of forestry legislation in the control of the pine weevil pest in the municipality of Gualaco, department of Olancho, Honduras C.A.

The work was developed in 2014 within the company where I work. It was a satisfying surprise to see that the work that has been done was and still is seen with good eyes by customers. There were some points in which we noticed that there were still flaws, but over time the company has been correcting. The goal has always been to deliver the best for customers, the partners value the quality of the products and the service offered.

Educational management and teaching performance: a binomial of action to achieve educational quality from the perspective of its actors as a fundamental tool in the teaching-learning process. The education demanded by students today must be of quality so that they can develop integrally and thus respond to the demands of the society in which they live. This is why this book makes a proposal to achieve educational quality.

The possible evolution of organised crime in El Salvador for the period 2014 - 2019 is studied using the prospective analysis of scenarios, for which a concept of scenario is initially detailed, explaining what scenario building consists of, how it is carried out and its usefulness. Subsequently, several methods of scenario building are described, and the most appropriate one for application to the issue of organised crime is defined. The emancipatory method was chosen as the one with the best technical basis and the greatest social and decision-making utility. Using this method, the factors that make up the conditions that influence the variables that can lead to possible scenarios are identified, applying the verification of hypotheses through interviews, statistics, literature review and field visits, to configure the evolution of organised crime in three different situations of the variables: first, if the variables do not change; second, if the variables worsen; and third, if the variables are acted upon so that they improve.

Values are formed in the process of interaction between people and the object of their activity, in the production and reproduction of their material and spiritual life, therefore they become internal formations of the subject according to the level of development reached, the historical, social and individual experience and the impact of the factors of educational influence; this will be taken into account when analysing the aspect of the formation of the value of honesty.

"Arquitectura Mexica: Diversos acercamientos a la ubicación del arquitecto en el marco de la sociedad tenochca" was the thesis with which I obtained my degree in architecture in March 1983. Unfortunately, it was classified by the UNAM library system as "Mexican Architecture" and therefore far from the field of Mesoamerican pre-Hispanic research. The content of this document transcribes the text of the original in its entirety, with the only substitution of some images whose legibility was completely lost and with the sole purpose of better illustrating its content. The credit for these images goes to the authors, whether they are educational institutions, commercial companies or individuals. As in other previous cases, the professional or degree theses published by the author have the sole purpose of bringing their content closer to students, colleagues and professionals in our field.

The present work aims at the implementation of Production Planning and Control in a company of the wood sector, through the application of a methodology that follows seven interconnected steps addressing issues such as production systems and simplicity. For its realisation, bibliographical research was made about the theme and periodic visits to the company collecting data through analysis and interviews, soon after a schedule for applying the methodology was idealized. It was also sought to make an analysis of the production systems, which was important to direct the implementation methodology and achieve the purpose of carrying out this work with the aim of reducing waste and losses, in addition to preparing the bases of implementation a PCP system (software).

Adolescent sexuality represents the confluence of feelings (biologically determined), sexual attitudes (derived from cognitive changes) and behaviours (resulting from the interaction of the above) which can be modified by social pressures. The proximity of adolescents to their peer group means that it has a strong influence on them. This influence may be beneficial to the adolescent's development or, on the contrary, the adolescent may receive distorted information from the peer group that leads him/her to adopt risky behaviours, including some related to sexuality. Sexuality education is a possible intervention for nurses with adolescents to promote healthy sexual behaviour.

The presence of ascites may be suggestive of multiple pathologies. Physical examination cannot always detect it, particularly when the amount of fluid is low or if it coexists with obesity. Its early detection has important diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic implications. This is why ultrasound has become essential for its detection. Moreover, its usefulness in performing guided procedures has been demonstrated on multiple occasions and it has become a tool of daily use in hospital services. With technological improvement, new portable ultrasounds have been developed, so small and light that they fit in the palm of the hand: pocket ultrasounds. This paper discusses their usefulness as an adjunct to physical examination for the detection of ascites, as well as for the performance of guided paracentesis.

Moringa oleifera Lamarck is a plant grown in many tropical countries, which has numerous popular uses due to its nutritional and pharmacological applications. This plant originates from northern India and belongs to the Moringaceae family. It has the characteristic of adapting to nutrient-poor soils and arid climates. Its seeds are of industrial importance as they produce an oil used to lubricate watches and other delicate machinery. It is also used in the manufacture of perfumes and in the chemical treatment of water. An interesting option to analyse the possibility of the seed oil being used in human food is by placing it as the base of one of the most consumed sauces in the world: mayonnaise. In this work, moringa oil was used to produce homemade mayonnaise, as a substitute for conventional oils. Physicochemical analyses of mayonnaise based on moringa oil were carried out, comparing it with mayonnaise based on soybean and sunflower oil, as well as oil characterisation through LR-NMR analysis. Further research is needed on this, which could be a possible new product to be introduced in the market.

This work aims to present the technologies for thermal oxidation of waste focusing on reducing the impact caused by inadequate disposal of municipal solid waste and the possibility of generating electricity thus contributing to sustainability in waste management.The option of treating solid waste by burning with the possibility of energy recovery besides being sustainable also has legal support in the National Solid Waste Policy. In this way, the country would contribute to reducing the impacts caused by dumps and contribute to the generation of electricity through a clean matrix.

Additives are a product of petrochemical synthesis, they are hydrocarbon and organoelement compounds of different types and classes, including low molecular weight surfactants and polymers. Additives have different compositions and properties, as well as areas of application. Their use requires special knowledge and experience. After all, even substances belonging nominally to the same category, say "depressor additives", depending on the composition and manufacturer may have absolutely different mechanism of action and specific technology of introduction into fuel. In this regard, it is important that manufacturers and suppliers of additives inform the consumer about all the features of the substance, provide professional advice to the technologist and a full package of documents. Only in this case it is possible to use the products with confidence and count on their effectiveness. The monograph describes methods of production and research of oligomeric compounds based on available organic and inorganic compounds, as well as with the use of a secondary polymer - polyethylene terephthalate as depressor (DPOR) and flame retardant (flame retardant) additives of target purpose.

The text of this book is taken from the fourth part of my thesis. Passionate about the socialization of children in the school environment, I set out to study the processes at work within this institution. Noting that kindergarten, and in particular the early years, was the poor relation in sociological studies of schools, I decided to take a closer look. After a pre-survey in several classes, I was accepted as an observer in five socially contrasting schools. Their kindergarten classes formed the field of my investigation. This book retraces the sum total of the interactions observed between adults, adults and children, and children between peers. The description of the situations observed, scenes from everyday kindergarten life, is highly detailed and parallels certain sociological variables. How does this environment shape these children? How do these children cope with the imposed norms? How do they show that they are not passive in their socialization? This is what this book aims to highlight.

Liposomes are self-organised systems constituting spherical vesicles of one or more concentric lipid bilayers that isolate one or several internal compartments from the external aqueous medium. Microfluidic production of liposomes is still strongly based on the use of planar hydrodynamic focusing devices, being conducted by introducing a dispersion of phospholipids in organic solvent into the central channel of the device, and subsequently constricting this central stream by one or more perpendicular aqueous streams. The focusing of the central current results in the controlled depletion of the organic solvent concentration through its diffusion into the aqueous phase, thereby triggering the self-organisation of phospholipids into bilayers and subsequently into liposomes. It has been shown that by hydrodynamic focusing microfluidics, unilamellar liposomes are formed with a size distribution that can be easily controlled by means of the ratio between the volume flow rates of the aqueous and organic streams. Thus, microfluidics is characterised as a simple and highly reproducible method for liposome production.

The work aims to analyse new arrangements for dealing with the phenomenon of judicialisation of public health in Brazil based on measures that propose cooperation and institutional dialogue. To this end, the specific objective was to analyse the arguments and proposals raised at the 2009 Public Hearing on Health convened by the Federal Supreme Court, as well as the measures incorporated by the judiciary through Resolutions and Recommendations issued by the CNJ, cutting out from these those that, for their execution, involve the need for dialogue between the judiciary and other sectors and/or institutions. The methodology used intended to break with the disciplinary limits of the legal field, through empirical investigations to support the research problem. Thus, the research sought to identify in each State Court of Justice the progress of the implementation of the cooperation measure, selecting three cases for analysis. At the end, the form of articulation between the different institutions and how institutional cooperation is organised were described, analysing how these new arrangements impact on the judicialisation of public health.

Soil or geotechnical studies are of vital importance to the longevity of civil engineering structures. The geotechnical engineer relies on soundings and data on the mechanical characteristics of the soil to determine its bearing capacity and settlement. These two parameters will be used to determine the type of foundation: superficial or deep. Soil studies are carried out on the basis of laboratory tests and in situ tests. This book deals with the importance of these tests.

The main purpose of this book is to analyze the narratives of six teachers from the public school system of the Federal District about the process of inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities (implemented in the last twenty years, approximately) and the pedagogical challenges resulting from it. To do so, the research had as theoretical basis the cultural-historical perspective undertaken by Lev S. Vygotsky 1896-1934 and his collaborators. In the first axis, we observed the resistance and fear of the teacher regarding the implementation of the inclusion public policy, as well as the initial debate on school inclusion, the transformation of the school environment, and the disparity in time of the implementation of inclusion public policies. In the second axis, we analyzed the impact of the inclusive process on the teacher's pedagogical strategies in teaching the student with intellectual disabilities and the positive and negative aspects that inclusion brought to the development of the teaching-learning process of the student with intellectual disabilities.

Barkat and Oukrid (2018) consider that Human Resources Management is about developing a vision of the organization's short- and medium-term future, forecasting human resources needs, monitoring resources and analyzing qualitative and quantitative gaps. Social science research shows that there is a mismatch between labor supply and demand. There is an abundance of skilled labor in the labor market, and a lack of demand. E-recruitment ensures greater transparency and fairness in the recruitment process, avoiding any form of discrimination.

Corrosion of metallic materials, especially carbon steel, is a major problem, since it occurs frequently in the most varied activities, such as in the chemical, oil, civil construction, automotive industries, among others. The most common way to combat corrosion is to paint the part, using paints that are basically composed of resin, solvents and additives, forming a protective layer on the metal surface. This project aims to develop low-cost chambers for accelerated testing and to study the corrosion protection offered by anticorrosive paints available on the market, applying them to combat corrosion in metallic material. The results show that it was possible to develop chambers for low-cost accelerated tests, using low-cost materials available in the local market, it was also observed that the corrosion protection offered by anticorrosive paints did not show efficiency in combating corrosion when exposed in the corrosive media of the accelerated tests.

This paper aims to present a dogmatic model to understand the legal nature of unconstitutional norms and acts and the modulation of the effects of unconstitutionality decisions. To this end, it begins by analysing one of the traditional assumptions of the theory of law of the separation of the planes of the norm and the legal act, examining the idea of nullity of the unconstitutional norm. It then presents two different models for understanding the modulation of effects, pointing to the so-called broad model as the most appropriate for greater clarity and consistency in decision-making, in addition to respect for the quorum legally established for this measure. Finally, groups of cases from the case law of the Federal Supreme Court are examined to identify the impact of the proposed model.

This book mirrors the current food situation in the province of Haut Katanga in the Democratic Republic of Congo, based on a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted in 426 households taken by a cluster survey, probabilistic type, single-stage in 19 Health Areas of the Health Zone Ruashi in Lubumbashi in Haut Katanga, on the assessment of household food security from December 2019 to September 2020. The primary objective of this study was to contribute to improving the health status of the population in this health zone. Interviews and observation of the environment enabled us to obtain results and a global overview of the situation.

Relationships in today's society are configured under the communicational schemes derived from ICTs. For this reason, this publication aims to generate a theoretical corpus about the educational axiological dimension of young people in social networks. The study is based on the Theories of: Communicative Action (Habermas, 1987); Social Constructivism (Vygostky, 1930) and Values (Marx Scheler, 19th-20th centuries). Methodologically, it is situated in the post-positivist research paradigm, specifically in the qualitative approach, of an interpretative nature, accompanied by the netnographic method, as a way of interpreting the object of study. The informants were immersed in socio-educational processes on social networks: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. In addition, interview and observation were used as techniques; the instruments used were the script of questions and the descriptive register, respectively.

The main objective of this book is to demonstrate the constitutional enforceability of the right to education. To this end, the historical-constitutional formation of the right to education will be presented, analysing the Constitution (1824) until the current one (1988). In this way, descriptive methodologies were used and, predominantly, the explanatory, based on knowledge of Constitutional Law, Theory of Rights, in addition to bibliographical and jurisprudential research. It begins with the history of the Brazilian Constitutions to then deal with the relationship between the principle of human dignity and the right to education and, finally, the limits to the full applicability of the right to education.
