How would the human world look, sound and feel like if reflected on by an Amazigh linguist who has come to learn that the key to grasping the meaning of life resides in the vague but eventually crucial descriptions "exist" and "does not exist"? This book is intended to be an answer for this question. Belonging to the Amazigh ethnicity, whose culture and language have been politically marginalized for centuries, chanelled to the writer of this book the blessing of being an independent thinker who commits himself to nothing but Reason. Being a Professor of Linguistics has made him keenly (but responsibly) sensitive to Linguistic Wisdom- the complex strata of word meanings which have developed throughout the human history of natural languages. Adhering to the existentialist stance that the world becomes more transparent when interpreted in the light of existence gave him access to the perspective through which one can ¿see¿ the human phenomena as we experience them in our daily life prior to any rationalization.

Rather than offering a rigorously edited version of Fisk¿s manuscript, which contains an extensive coursebook on the Moroccan Darija (Moroccan Arabic) that was in all probability written in the forties of the second millennium, this book is a mere reproduction of it that would hopefully make it accessible to a general public. By publishing our version of this rare manuscript, we wish to inspire the scholars who are interested in the recent history of the Moroccan Darija, linguists and comparative linguists to reproduce a more scholarly version of the original manuscript and investigate its contents with the scrutiny it deserves as a precious documentation of the linguistic state of the Moroccan Darija one century ago.
