Mexico hides numerous treasures of great architectural and artistic value that have survived time to tell us a story. The men and women who have inhabited it have been able to imagine the future by creating artistic works that transcend and occupy their own space in the universal heritage, thus awakening the admiration of the whole world. The journey presented in these pages runs parallel to the trajectory of those individuals dedicated body and soul to express themselves through art in any of its disciplines. It is for this reason that this research arises to establish a permanent dialogue between the history of Mexico, its social, political and cultural changes, and between the artists themselves and the works; also between Mexican art and the art generated by foreign hands that adopted the country as their own. And above all, to document the creativity, the talent and the Mexican plastic production of yesterday and today.

O México alberga numerosos tesouros de grande valor arquitetónico e artístico que sobreviveram ao tempo para nos contar uma história. Os homens e mulheres que aí viveram souberam imaginar o futuro, criando obras artísticas que transcendem e ocupam um espaço próprio no património universal, suscitando assim a admiração de todo o mundo. O percurso apresentado nestas páginas é paralelo à trajetória dos indivíduos que se dedicaram de corpo e alma a exprimir-se através da arte em qualquer das suas disciplinas. É por isso que esta investigação surge com o objetivo de estabelecer um diálogo permanente entre a história do México, as suas mudanças sociais, políticas e culturais, e entre os próprios artistas e as suas obras; também entre a arte mexicana e a arte gerada por mãos estrangeiras que adoptaram o país como seu. E, sobretudo, para documentar a criatividade, o talento e a produção artística mexicana de ontem e de hoje.

Gli uomini e le donne che vi hanno vissuto hanno saputo immaginare il futuro creando opere artistiche che trascendono e occupano un proprio spazio nel patrimonio universale, suscitando l'ammirazione del mondo intero. Il viaggio presentato in queste pagine si snoda parallelamente alla traiettoria di quegli individui che si sono dedicati anima e corpo a esprimersi attraverso l'arte in qualsiasi sua disciplina. È per questo motivo che la ricerca nasce per stabilire un dialogo permanente tra la storia del Messico, i suoi cambiamenti sociali, politici e culturali, e tra gli artisti stessi e le opere; anche tra l'arte messicana e quella generata da mani straniere che hanno adottato il Paese come proprio. E soprattutto, documentare la creatività, il talento e la produzione artistica messicana di ieri e di oggi.

Mexiko beherbergt zahlreiche Schätze von großem architektonischen und künstlerischen Wert, die die Zeit überdauert haben, um uns eine Geschichte zu erzählen. Die Männer und Frauen, die dort gelebt haben, waren in der Lage, sich die Zukunft vorzustellen, indem sie künstlerische Werke schufen, die über das universelle Erbe hinausgehen und einen eigenen Platz darin einnehmen und so die Bewunderung der ganzen Welt erwecken. Die Reise, die auf diesen Seiten vorgestellt wird, verläuft parallel zu dem Weg jener Menschen, die sich mit Leib und Seele der Kunst in allen ihren Disziplinen verschrieben haben. Aus diesem Grund wurde diese Untersuchung ins Leben gerufen, um einen ständigen Dialog zwischen der Geschichte Mexikos, seinen sozialen, politischen und kulturellen Veränderungen und zwischen den Künstlern selbst und ihren Werken herzustellen, aber auch zwischen der mexikanischen Kunst und der Kunst, die von ausländischen Künstlern geschaffen wurde, die sich das Land zu eigen gemacht haben. Und vor allem, um die Kreativität, das Talent und die mexikanische Kunstproduktion von gestern und heute zu dokumentieren.

Le Mexique recèle de nombreux trésors de grande valeur architecturale et artistique qui ont traversé le temps pour nous raconter une histoire. Les hommes et les femmes qui y ont vécu ont su imaginer l'avenir en créant des ¿uvres artistiques qui transcendent et occupent une place à part entière dans le patrimoine universel, suscitant ainsi l'admiration du monde entier. Le parcours présenté dans ces pages est parallèle à la trajectoire de ces personnes qui se sont consacrées corps et âme à l'expression de l'art dans toutes ses disciplines. C'est pour cette raison que cette recherche est née afin d'établir un dialogue permanent entre l'histoire du Mexique, ses changements sociaux, politiques et culturels, et entre les artistes eux-mêmes et les ¿uvres ; ainsi qu'entre l'art mexicain et l'art généré par des mains étrangères qui ont adopté le pays comme le leur. Et surtout, documenter la créativité, le talent et la production artistique mexicaine d'hier et d'aujourd'hui.

El recorrido que en estas páginas se presenta va en paralelo con la trayectoria de aquellos individuos dedicados en cuerpo y alma a expresarse a través del arte en cualquiera de sus disciplinas. Es por lo anterior que surge esta investigación para entablar un diálogo permanente entre la historia de México, sus cambios sociales, políticos y culturales, y entre los propios artistas y las obras; también entre el arte mexicano y el arte generado por manos extranjeras que adoptaron al país como propio. Y sobre todo, para documentar la creatividad, el talento y la producción plástica mexicana del ayer y del ahora.
