Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Englisch - Pädagogik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: 1,7, Universität Augsburg (Lehrstuhl für Didaktik des Englischen), Veranstaltung: Methoden des Interkulturellen Lernens, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In den Lehrplänen bayerischer Gymnasien spielt der Erwerb einer interkulturellen Kompetenz sowie die Vermittlung landeskundlicher Informationen eine sehr große Rolle. Ein interkulturell kompetenter Sprecher verfügt über eine offene Einstellung gegenüber anderen Nationalitäten, Wissensbeständen und Kompetenzen im Umgang mit anderen Kulturen. Darüber hinaus kennt er Fakten und Phänomene der eigenen sowie der zielsprachlichen Kultur und Gesellschaft und weiß wie sie erworben werden. Er ist daran interessiert, eine Beziehung zu einem Partner aufzubauen, etwas über ihn, seine Meinungen und Ansichten und seine Kultur zu erfahren und ist auch bemüht, den Partner zu verstehen, indem er beispielsweise versucht, seine Perspektive einzunehmen.¿1 Gerade im Englischunterricht gilt die Entwicklung interkultureller Kompetenzen als ein übergeordnetes Ziel des gesamten Unterrichts. In der folgenden Hausarbeit werden einige wichtige Medien vorgestellt, die besonders für das interkulturelle Lernen im Englischunterricht geeignet sind. Anhand von Projektbeispielen soll erläutert werden, inwiefern interkulturelles Lernen in der Schule zu Stande kommt und ob diese überhaupt eine Auswirkung auf die Einstellung der Schüler ¿ nämliche deren interkulturelle Kompetenz - zur Folge hat. Im letzten Teil wird ein kurzer Blick in die Zukunft gewagt.

People say he used to be a spy for the British government and an atheist whose death was ¿God¿s justice on a sinner¿. ¿A blasphemer who had ¿denied God and his son Christ ¿ affirming our Saviour to be but a deceiver ¿ and the holy Bible but vain and idle stories¿. Whether there is any truth in theses accusations cannot be answered, but although we do not know whether Marlowe was an atheist, it is for sure that Marlowe got in touch with religion quite intensive. This term paper shall point out how Christopher Marlowe dealt with the topic Christianity in Dr. Faustus. As it is clear, that a play that deals with God and the devil cannot leave Christian theology out, particular notes shall be written about the matters of the negative approach towards Christianity, the subject of repentance and the issue how the purgatory is being demonstrated in the play. Therefore examples for these topics will be shown and commented on.

The concept of psychoanalysis, first established in the early 20th century, may for sure had particular influence on Beckett¿s thoughts and plays as not only Footfalls contains ideas in it. Beckett himself attended a psychotherapist, after his father¿s death in 1933. ¿He remained in therapy for two years with Wilfred R. Bion [¿] whose later writing on psychoanalytical theory are considered among the most eminent and original in the field.¿ The reason for his collapse may be found in his relationship to his mother whose ¿savage loving made him what he was¿. Connor adds, that Beckett¿s may have experienced the lost of his father ¿as a confirmation of the loss of his second father, Joyce, who had broken angrily with him after Beckett¿s abortive affair with Luciä , James Joyce¿s daughter. The notes he made about psychoanalytical theories, when he was in therapy, had been discovered after his death, so it is very likely that he used some of them for his later plays.
