Their scientific contributions made impact on noted scholars globally: Aristotle, Megasthenes, and Apollonius of Tyana among the Greeks; Al-Biruni, Al-Khwarizmi, Ibn Labban, and Al-Uqlidisi, Al-Ja?iz among the Islamic scholars; Fa-Hien, Hiuen Tsang, and I-tsing among the Chinese; and Leonardo Fibbonacci, Pope Sylvester II, Roger Bacon, Voltaire and Copernicus from Europe. In the modern era, thinkers and scientists as diverse as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Johann Gottfried Herder, Carl Jung, Max Muller, Robert Oppenheimer, Erwin Schrodinger, Arthur Schopenhauer, and Henry David Thoreau have acknowledged their debt to ancient Hindu achievements in science, technology, and philosophy.The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), one of the largest scientific organizations in the world, in 2000, published a timeline of 100 most important scientific finding in history to celebrate the new millennium. There were only two mentions from the non-Western world: (1) invention of zero and (2) the Hindu and Mayan skywatchers astronomical observations for agricultural and religious purposes. Both findings involved the works of the ancient Hindus.The Ancient Hindu Science is well documented with remarkable objectivity, proper citations, and a substantial bibliography. The present work is a study of a reform movement i.e. ¿Yug- Nirman Movement' initiated by a spiritual/charismatic person having some religious components which has spread all over India and 80 other countries. There are more than 85 million followers around, having 2400 regional centers and 50,000 local centers, and it is said that more than 16 million people have left their bad habits following its practices. Facts regarding emergence/origin, leadership, aim objectives and ideology, organization and impact/consequences, have been specifically studied in the context of 'Yug Nirman Movement¿. The book also presented a bright side of social life of the followers of this movement in rural areas through reformation of individual, family and community. A humble effort has been made to present the true picture of ¿Yug- Nirman Movement' with the hope that the analysis and findings may be used for making proper policies and programme to reform the society.The findings indicate that the movement is functional for the individual, family and society. The book is meaningful for those interested in finding ways to achieve the goal of a desirable Society.

Colle's fracture is a fracture at the distal end of the radius, at its cortico-cancellous junction (about two cm from the distal articular surface) with typical displacement. It mostly results from a 'slip and fall' on an outstretched hand. The commonest fracture in people above forty years of age, and is particularly common in women because of post-menopausal osteoporosis. Treatment of colle¿s fracture is essentially conservative. Few traditional practitioners specifically dealing with fractures, called 'Bone setters', have been effectively using herbal drugs over many centuries. Many of these drugs are simple, easily available, cost effective and potent.The scientific evaluation of such drugs along with their fundamental principles is essential for their universal acceptance. Hence in this study an attempt is made to prepare a drug about which there are textural references regarding Varatika bhasma. the study tried to prove the efficacy of the Varatika bhasma for early mobilization in the management of colle¿s fracture.Book contains the data of this single blind placebo control study. the book have enough information related to fracture management by Ayurveda.
