Master's Thesis from the year 2022 in the subject Economics - International Economic Relations, grade: 1,0, New Bulgarian University (Economics), course: International Business, language: English, abstract: This master's thesis will deal with the different market entry strategies of German companies in Bulgaria. More specifically, I will focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), since they do not have the financial strength and confidence of large enterprises and corporations, and it would be interesting to examine their behaviour when entering a foreign market. An overview of the micro- and large enterprises will also be presented in order to further support the statements made about SMEs. Through an empirical and comparative analysis of a report of the German-Bulgarian chamber of industry and commerce, I will give an answer to the question, whether is this even worth it and if so, what strategy would be most successful for them and what factors influence the most. The analysis will begin with a more global overview of international business and especially internationalization. The definition of internationalization, its meaning and its relation to entering foreign markets will be presented. In the third chapter, the term market entry will be introduced, as well as the different possible strategies and variations for this. The fourth chapter will focus on small and medium-sized enterprises - what exactly they are in general, in Bulgaria and in Germany, what are the main differences between them and the large ones and why they are important. After that, a legal framework of the situation in Bulgaria will be presented - the economic development of the country, its business environment, corporate law, forms and taxes. All this will be considered in order to get to the heart of this thesis in the sixth chapter - the empirical and comparative analysis and the results drawn from them. Concrete samples with German companies in Bulgaria will be used in the study. Several variables will play a role in my research such as location, type of the enterprise, market entry method, industry and market participation. Based on it, specific problems will be discussed and finally conclusions will be drawn on the determining factors of market entry behaviour of German companies on the Bulgarian market. The master thesis will end with a summary of the main conclusions.

Bachelor Thesis from the year 2018 in the subject Economics - International Economic Relations, grade: 2,0, Ruhr-University of Bochum (Wirschaftwissenschaft), language: English, abstract: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to answer the question whether Brexit has negatively or positively affected the financial markets and why. The first two chapters will present the foundations for this thesis, namely more selective information about Brexit, how and why the vote was made, and also about the financial markets and their importance. Since the UK¿s official exit from the EU will take place on March 29th, 2019, it is still unclear what the consequences of Brexit will be. Therefore, the main part will focus on the period before and after the referendum, tracking when Brexit's influence began and how it had evolved over the years. In addition, a brief forecast will be given as to how the UK¿s withdrawal might eventually affect financial markets. The three financial markets that will be a subject in this thesis are: the foreign exchange market, the stock market and the government bond market. This bachelor¿s thesis will be mainly focusing on the markets inside the UK, as the effects there are expected to be the most significant. Due to its ambiguity and topicality, Brexit is the subject of many studies and analysis. This work will be based mainly on two studies: "Kiel Institute for the World Economy"'s study by Raddant, and "Deutsches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung"'s study by Caporale et al. Through descriptive literature research and analysis of scientific literature, newspaper articles and government reports, will be examined how and why Brexit has influenced the markets in one way or another. The argumentation will be supported by daily observations of the GBP/USD, GBP/EUR, FTSE 100, UK EPU and 10-Y UK Gilts in the period between January 2016 and June 2018, as well as by self-created graphics based on these observations.

Der Ansatz beginnt mit einer umfassenden Definition des Feminismus und einer chronologischen Darstellung seiner Entwicklung, von den frühen Bestrebungen der Frauen nach Freiheit bis hin zu bedeutenden Meilensteinen wie dem Wahlrecht, dem Scheidungsrecht und der Abtreibung. Die Evolution des Feminismus führt zur Definition und Thematisierung des Postfeminismus.Die Verbindung zwischen Postfeminismus und "Sex and the City" wird durch eine Analyse verschiedener Aspekte der Serie hergestellt. Die vier Hauptfiguren ¿ Carrie, Samantha, Miranda und Charlotte ¿ repräsentieren einzigartige Qualitäten und Interpretationen von Liebe und Beziehung. Die Forschungsmethodik umfasst eine unkonventionelle Herangehensweise durch formale Analyse und Inhaltsanalyse. The series, known for its portrayal of modern women, sparks intense reactions¿both negative and positive. This work seeks to elucidate how the image of women has evolved over time, answering questions about post-feminism's essence, the conveyed image of women in the series, and the distinctions from traditional societal norms.Utilizing examples, pivotal moments, and characters from "Sex and the City," this research provides a comprehensive exploration of the changing dynamics in the representation of women, shedding light on the intricate interplay between media, societal expectations, and evolving gender identities.

Die Evolution der Technologie und die ständigen Verbesserungen in verschiedenen Bereichen haben nicht nur die Art und Weise, wie wir Informationen konsumieren, sondern auch die Struktur und Inhalte von Medieninhalten revolutioniert. In diesem sich stetig wandelnden Kontext stellt sich die Frage, inwiefern Theorien und Methoden aus der Vergangenheit weiterhin Relevanz in unserem gegenwärtigen Alltag besitzen.Diese Arbeit konzentriert sich auf eine spezifische Theorie, die maßgeblichen Einfluss auf die Wahrnehmung von Geschlechterdarstellungen im Film ausübte ¿ Laura Mulveys feministische Theorie, wie sie in ihrem wegweisenden Essay "Visuelle Lust und narratives Kino" von 1975 entwickelt wurde. Die Theorie, welche auf den psychoanalytischen Konzepten von Freud und Lacan basiert, hinterfragt kritisch das bestehende Geschlechterungleichgewicht in Hollywood-Filmen und betont die subtile Beeinflussung des visuellen Vergnügens durch filmische Darstellungen.Im Verlauf dieser Arbeit werden Mulveys Theorien im Detail vorgestellt und ihre zentralen Thesen sowie Erklärungen herausgearbeitet. Anhand konkreter Filmbeispiele, nämlich "Rear Window" (1954) und "Kill Bill: Vol. 1" (2003), wird anschließend überprüft, inwiefern diese Theorien auch in der zeitgenössischen Filmproduktion noch Anwendung finden. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es nicht nur, die Aktualität von Mulveys feministischer Theorie zu prüfen, sondern auch Prognosen darüber zu treffen, wie sich die Darstellung von Geschlechterrollen in der Zukunft der Hollywood-Filme entwickeln könnte. In einer Welt, die ständig im Wandel ist, bleibt die Frage nach der Beständigkeit oder Veränderung theoretischer Perspektiven in der Filmwissenschaft von entscheidender Bedeutung.
