According to Spivak, the Western way of thinking, in respect to colonized people, is a particular form of violence, defined by her as ¿epistemic violence,¿ capable of inducing the colonized to see themselves in a marginal position with respect to colonists. The West imposes itself as a sovereign ruler of the entire globe, presenting it as the only way and creating the concept of Us vs. Them. This system is referred to by Spivak as ¿worlding of a world;¿ through this process, the West has created its Other, and considers them objects as objects to be analyzed, and thereby takes the power to represent and control them. Through the global reach of the Internet, taking advantage of the speed of networks and the possibility to interact anonymously, Wikileaks has spread documents considered private or secret through electronic publication. On April 5th 2010, Wikileaks published on its website, a secret edited video titled "Collateral Murder". The video, taken in Iraq from an American Apache helicopter, shows a fatal attack against 12 civilians, including two Reuters photographers, and the wounding of their rescuers, including two children. The army, however, declared that they believed the targets were armed military, not civilians. On July 25th 2010 Wikileaks published 91,000 online reports on the war in Afghanistan in a document called the "Afghan War Diary", and on October 22nd 2010 they published 391, 32 Iraq War logs.

Academic Paper from the year 2018 in the subject Social Studies (General), grade: 10/10, University of Iceland, language: English, abstract: Since the collapse of the Soviet Union in December 1991 that changed the world's geopolitical balance, and after the strengthening of the block against Cuba by the United States, many experts have predicted the imminent collapse of the Cuban Revolution. However, the Cuban Revolution survived despite the fact that all socialist regimes had fallen one by one in the face of the advancement of the neoliberal globalization. Cuban society, based on the concept of equality and freedom, was designed to assure social solidarity and mutual support of all members of society who are viewed as equals. It is considered the fundamental value of the socialist humanism. The Cuban Revolution not only survived, but became notable and widely acknowledged with regards to its achievements in social and human development, particularly in education, health and international solidarity. Between 1989 and 1993, the most rigid year of the crisis called Special Period, gross domestic product was reduced by 50%, and the national debt tripled. The Cuban economy was, until then, largely dependent on exports, exports decreased by 75%.
