Her numerous published articles concern a wide range of topics, including studies of the relevance of humanistic medicine to Dante''s Divine Comedy, Homer''s Iliad, Sophocles'' Philoctetes, Donne''s Devotions, and Chrétien de Troyes'' Yvain. Hawkins lives in Philadelphia.
