La implantación es el resultado de una interacción bioquímica entre el embrión y el endometrio. El objetivo de este libro es realizar una revisión bibliográfica actual de las principales estrategias terapéuticas capaces de eliminar o mitigar los fallos repetidos de implantación en los ciclos de Fecundación In Vitro (FIV). Los factores analizados han sido: materno, embrionario, paterno, genético y consideraciones tecnológicas futuras.

Die Implantation ist das Ergebnis einer biochemischen Interaktion zwischen dem Embryo und der Gebärmutterschleimhaut. Diese Wechselwirkung, deren Mechanismen zum Teil noch unbekannt sind, führt, wenn sie erfolgreich ist, zum Eindringen des Embryos in die Gebärmutterschleimhaut und zur Bildung der Membranen, die den Embryo während der Schwangerschaft umgeben (Plazenta) und ihm während seines Wachstums Schutz und Nahrung bieten. Auch wenn alle anderen Schritte ordnungsgemäß durchgeführt werden, kann es vorkommen, dass trotz aller Bemühungen und der fortschrittlichsten Technik keine Schwangerschaft erreicht wird. Der Spezialist für künstliche Befruchtung muss dann den Fall eingehender untersuchen, um dem Paar die bestmögliche Alternative für den nächsten Versuch anzubieten. Das Paar muss sich auch über die Grenzen der Wissenschaft im Klaren sein, obwohl diese sehr fortschrittlich ist. Ziel dieses Buches ist es, eine aktuelle bibliografische Übersicht über die wichtigsten therapeutischen Strategien zu erstellen, die geeignet sind, wiederholte Einnistungsausfälle bei In-vitro-Fertilisationszyklen (IVF) zu vermeiden oder abzumildern. Die analysierten Faktoren waren: mütterliche, embryonale, väterliche, genetische und zukünftige technologische Überlegungen.

Cette interaction, dont les mécanismes sont encore partiellement inconnus, aboutira, si elle est réussie, à la pénétration de l'embryon dans l'endomètre et à la création des membranes qui entoureront l'embryon pendant la grossesse (placenta), lui offrant protection et nutrition pendant sa croissance. Ainsi, même si toutes les autres étapes sont correctement franchies, il se peut que la grossesse ne soit pas obtenue malgré tous les efforts et la technique la plus avancée. Le spécialiste de la reproduction assistée doit alors approfondir le cas afin de proposer la meilleure alternative possible pour la prochaine tentative du couple. Le couple doit également se rendre compte des limites que la science, bien qu'avancée, peut offrir.
