L'objectif de ce travail est donc d'établir comment la pandémie de covid-19 a induit la criminalité et détérioré l'économie locale de l'État de Bayelsa, au Nigeria. L'étude a adopté la théorie de l'action situationnelle (SAT) comme cadre théorique. L'étude a adopté le plan de recherche descriptif pour enquêter sur 2 277 961 populations de l'État de Bayelsa en utilisant la formule de Taro-Yamane pour tirer un échantillon de 530 personnes. Une technique d'échantillonnage raisonné a été utilisée dans l'étude. Les principaux instruments utilisés pour générer des données pour cette étude étaient le questionnaire et l'entretien. Le questionnaire structuré intitulé : « Covid-19, économie locale et criminalité dans l'État de Bayelsa, Nigeria ». (C19LEACBSNQ). Les données collectées ont été analysées à l'aide d'un simple pourcentage et la méthode thématique a été utilisée pour analyser les données dérivées des informateurs clés.

L¿obiettivo di questo lavoro è quindi stabilire come la pandemia di covid-19 abbia indotto la criminalità e deteriorato l¿economia locale dello stato di Bayelsa, in Nigeria. Lo studio ha adottato la teoria dell'azione situazionale (SAT) come quadro teorico. Lo studio ha adottato il disegno di ricerca descrittiva per esaminare 2.277.961 popolazioni dello stato di Bayelsa utilizzando la formula Taro-Yamane per disegnare una dimensione del campione di 530. Nello studio è stata utilizzata la tecnica di campionamento mirato. Gli strumenti principali utilizzati nella generazione dei dati per questo studio sono stati il questionario e l¿intervista. Il questionario strutturato dal titolo: ¿Covid-19, economia locale e criminalità nello stato di Bayelsa, Nigeriä. (C19LEACBSNQ). Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo es establecer cómo la pandemia de covid-19 ha inducido la criminalidad y deteriorado la economía local del estado de Bayelsa, Nigeria. El estudio adoptó la teoría de la acción situacional (SAT) como marco teórico. El estudio adoptó el diseño de investigación descriptivo para encuestar a 2.277.961 poblaciones del estado de Bayelsa utilizando la fórmula Taro-Yamane para extraer un tamaño de muestra de 530. En el estudio se utilizó una técnica de muestreo intencional. Los principales instrumentos utilizados para generar datos para este estudio fueron el cuestionario y la entrevista. El cuestionario estructurado titulado: ¿Covid-19, economía local y criminalidad en el estado de Bayelsa, Nigeriä. (C19LEACBSNQ). Los datos recolectados se analizaron mediante porcentaje simple y el método temático se utilizó para analizar los datos derivados de informantes clave.

Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es daher herauszufinden, wie die Covid-19-Pandemie zu Kriminalität geführt und die lokale Wirtschaft im nigerianischen Bundesstaat Bayelsa beeinträchtigt hat. Das Gestüt übernahm die Situational Action Theory (SAT) als unseren theoretischen Rahmen. Die Studie übernahm das deskriptive Forschungsdesign, um 2.277.961 Bevölkerungsgruppen im Bundesstaat Bayelsa zu befragen, wobei die Taro-Yamane-Formel verwendet wurde, um eine Stichprobengröße von 530 zu ziehen. In der Studie wurde eine gezielte Stichprobentechnik verwendet. Die primären Instrumente zur Datengenerierung für diese Studie waren Fragebögen und Interviews. Der strukturierte Fragebogen mit dem Titel: ¿Covid-19, lokale Wirtschaft und Kriminalität im Bundesstaat Bayelsa, Nigeriä. (C19LEACBSNQ). Die gesammelten Daten wurden anhand einfacher Prozentsätze analysiert und die thematische Methode wurde verwendet, um die von Schlüsselinformanten abgeleiteten Daten zu analysieren.

The objective of this work therefore is to establish how covid-19 pandemic has induced criminality and deteriorated the local economy of Bayelsa state, Nigeria. The stud adopted the Situational action theory (SAT) as our theoretical framework. The study adopted the descriptive research design to survey 2,277,961 populations of Bayelsa state using the Taro- Yamane formula to draw a sample size of 530. Purposive sampling technique was used in the study. The primary instruments used in generating data for this study were questionnaire and interview. The structured questionnaire titled: ¿Covid-19, local economy and criminality in Bayelsa state, Nigeriä. (C19LEACBSNQ). The collected data were analyzed using simple percentage and the thematic method was used to analysis the data derived from key informants.

The purpose of this work therefore was to examine how hard drug use among youth has led to sexual violence and rise in cultism in Niger-Delta region of Nigeria from 2010-2020. There are four competing theories for our theoretical framework- Routine activity theory (RAT), Rational choice theory (RCT), Situational action theory (SAT) and Street code theory (SCT), but we adopted the later. The study adopted the sample survey design research design. The sample size of 400 was determined using Taro Yamane formula from a population of 447,779 using the stratified and purposive sampling technique. The major instruments used in generating data for this study were questionnaire, observation and interview.The structured questionnaire titled: ¿Sexual violence, youth hard drug use and cultism in Niger-Delta region¿ (SVYHDUACINDRQ). The collected data were analysed using the simple percentage and Chi-square (x2) statistical tool to test the various hypotheses.

The study adopts differential association theory (DAT) and Situational action theory (SAT) as it theoretical framework. The study adopted the descriptive research design to survey 3,728,098 populations of Ogun state, using the Taro- Yamane formula to draw a sample size of 400; purposive sampling technique was used in the study. The major instruments used in generating data for this study were questionnaire, observation and interview. The collected data were analysed using the simple percentage and Chi-square (x2) statistical tool to test the various hypotheses. A number of references were finally made for further review.
