In particular, it focuses on the broader issues of the food system beyond food production, highlights the distribution of climate-related food security impacts across different sectors of global society, and offers opportunities for food system integration. We aim to emphasize the challenges. And options for mitigation, adaptation, and food security.

This book presents recently-developed crop, soil, and management practices that can be used to improve phosphorous use efficiency in agriculture. Food security highly depends on the availability of plant nutrients such as phosphorus, yet rock phosphate reserves are expected to be exhausted in the next 50-100 years. Moreover, about 80% of the phosphorous fertilizers applied to soils become unavailable to plants due to phosphorous fixation in iron and aluminum oxides in acidic soils and with carbonates in alkaline soils. As a consequence, only 10-15% of applied phosphorous is up taken by crops. Therefore, there is a need for advanced practices for improving phosphorus use efficiency.

Both financial and non-financial factors are used to measure the firm performance. But most of the firms in Pakistan only consider financial factors. Some important non-financial factors can make the firm performance better. This study considers only non-financial variables such as training, employees satisfaction, transformational leadership style, family ownership, role clarity and firm performance.

On global basis nitrogen is the highly applied and most expensive nutrient used for crop production. Nitrogen fertilization has significantly improved crop productivity since after the invention of synthetic fertilizers but had adversely affected the ecosystem due to its huge application. Therefore, improving crop production and quality without adverse effect on environment and human health are the main challenges for agriculturists. One of the key is to improve nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) of the crops, which will increase the sustainability of agricultural production.

Weltweit ist Stickstoff der am häufigsten eingesetzte und teuerste Nährstoff in der Pflanzenproduktion. Por lo tanto, mejorar la producción y la calidad de los cultivos sin afectar al medio ambiente ni a la salud humana son los principales retos de los agricultores. Una delle chiavi è migliorare l'efficienza d'uso dell'azoto (NUE) delle colture, che aumenterà la sostenibilità della produzione agricola.
