Dieses Buch ist eine Sammlung verschiedener Themen, die mehrere Aspekte der Realität in den afrikanischen Ländern im Allgemeinen und in Mali im Besonderen berühren. Es soll eine Einladung zum Nachdenken und zur Diskussion sein, ohne den Anspruch zu erheben, die absolute Wahrheit zu enthalten. Meine Hoffnung ist, dass es tatsächlich ein Erwachen des Bewusstseins hervorruft, ein Hinterfragen bestimmter Haltungen und Praktiken der Afrikaner, die der harmonischen Entwicklung ihrer Länder sehr schaden und ihren Weg zum Fortschritt bremsen. In dieser Hinsicht hat das Buch den Charakter eines "Wake up call", (eines Aufrufs zum Aufwachen und zur Wachsamkeit). Es ist oft hilfreich, Dinge zu hinterfragen, die man als selbstverständlich ansieht. Über die Gründe für den Entwicklungsrückstand der afrikanischen und insbesondere der französischsprachigen Länder wurde bereits viel gesagt. Aber in vielen Fällen werden einige der tieferen Gründe ignoriert oder verschleiert, so dass es nützlich ist, sie mit Mut und Realismus ans Licht zu bringen, auch wenn dies einige stören und verärgern sollte. Mein Wunsch ist es auch, dass dieses Buch andere Analyseperspektiven bietet, die sich von den Klischees unterscheiden, die von vielen als unhinterfragte Selbstverständlichkeiten hingenommen werden.

Pretende ser una invitación a la reflexión y al debate, sin pretender contener la verdad absoluta. Mi esperanza es que despierte efectivamente las conciencias y plantee interrogantes sobre ciertas actitudes y prácticas de los africanos que son muy perjudiciales para el desarrollo armonioso de sus países y obstaculizan su marcha hacia el progreso. En este sentido, el libro es una llamada de atención. A menudo es útil cuestionar cosas que damos por sentadas. Se ha hablado mucho de las causas del retraso en el desarrollo de África, especialmente en los países francófonos. Pero en muchos casos, ciertas razones profundas se ignoran o se ocultan hasta tal punto que es útil sacarlas a la luz con valentía y realismo, aunque ello moleste e incomode a algunas personas. Mi esperanza es también que este libro ofrezca otras perspectivas de análisis, diferentes de los tópicos más a menudo aceptados como evidentes por muchos.

This book is a collection of diverse themes touching on several aspects of the reality of African countries in general and Mali in particular. It is intended as an invitation to reflection and debate, without claiming to contain the absolute truth. My hope is that it will effectively awaken people's consciences and raise questions about certain attitudes and practices of Africans that are highly detrimental to the harmonious development of their countries and hinder their march towards progress. In this respect, the book is a wake-up call. It is often useful to question things that we take for granted. Much has been said about the causes of Africa's lagging development, especially in French-speaking countries. But in many cases, certain deep-seated reasons are ignored or concealed to such an extent that it is useful to bring them to light with courage and realism, even if this should disturb and upset some people. My hope is also that this book will offer other perspectives for analysis, different from the clichés most often accepted as self-evident by many.

Questo libro è una raccolta di temi diversi che toccano vari aspetti della realtà dei Paesi africani in generale e del Mali in particolare. Vuole essere un invito alla riflessione e al dibattito, senza pretendere di contenere la verità assoluta. La mia speranza è che possa effettivamente risvegliare le coscienze e sollevare domande su alcuni atteggiamenti e pratiche degli africani che sono altamente dannosi per lo sviluppo armonioso dei loro Paesi e ne ostacolano la marcia verso il progresso. In questo senso, il libro è un campanello d'allarme. Spesso è utile mettere in discussione cose che diamo per scontate. Si è parlato molto delle cause del ritardo di sviluppo dell'Africa, soprattutto nei Paesi francofoni. Ma in molti casi, alcune ragioni profonde sono ignorate o nascoste a tal punto che è utile portarle alla luce con coraggio e realismo, anche se questo dovrebbe disturbare e sconvolgere qualcuno. La mia speranza è anche che questo libro offra altre prospettive di analisi, diverse dai luoghi comuni più spesso accettati come evidenti da molti.

Pretende ser um convite à reflexão e ao debate, sem a pretensão de conter a verdade absoluta. Espero que desperte efectivamente a consciência das pessoas e levante questões sobre certas atitudes e práticas dos africanos que são altamente prejudiciais ao desenvolvimento harmonioso dos seus países e impedem a sua marcha para o progresso. Neste sentido, o livro é uma chamada de atenção. É muitas vezes útil questionar as coisas que tomamos como garantidas. Muito se tem dito sobre as causas do atraso no desenvolvimento de África, especialmente nos países francófonos. Mas, em muitos casos, certas razões profundas são ignoradas ou ocultadas a tal ponto que é útil trazê-las à luz do dia com coragem e realismo, mesmo que isso perturbe e incomode algumas pessoas. Espero também que este livro ofereça outras perspectivas de análise, diferentes dos clichés mais frequentemente aceites como evidentes por muitos.

Ce livre est un ensemble de thèmes divers touchant plusieurs aspects de la réalité des pays Africains en général et le Mali en particulier. Il se veut une invitation à la réflexion et au débat sans prétendre contenir la vérité absolue. Mon espoir est qüil suscite effectivement un éveil des consciences, une interrogation par rapport à certaines attitudes et pratiques des Africains qui portent grandement préjudice au développement harmonieux de leurs pays et freinent leur marche vers le progrès. A cet égard, le livre a un caractère de « Wake up call », (un appel au réveil et à la vigilance). Il faut souvent utile d¿interroger les choses que l¿on considère comme évidentes. Beaucoup a été dit sur les causes du retard de développement des pays Africains surtout Francophones. Mais dans bien des cas certaines raisons profondes sont ignorées ou dissimulées au point qüil soit utile de les mettre en lumière avec courage et réalisme même si cela devrait déranger et indisposer certains. Mon souhait est également que ce livre offre d¿autres perspectives d¿analyses différentes des clichés le plus souvent admis comme des évidences sans interrogation par beaucoup.

This Book is an aggregate of several topics relating to various aspects of African realities in general and that of Mali in particular. It is expected to be an invitation to cogitation and debate without the pretense to deliver the absolute and plenary truth. It is my hope to see this Book stimulating awareness and interrogation regarding some attitudes and behaviors of Africans which undermine the harmonious development of their respective countries and hinder their drive toward progress. African continent not being in closed vase, it is obvious that it finds itself at the center of geopolitics and/or geostrategic stakes impacting on the fate of African countries while ultimately out of the control of Africans themselves. To this regard, this Book should rather be considered a ¿wake up call¿, (a call for awareness and vigilance). My humble desire is to see this Book providing others perspectives of analysis contrary to different cliché commonly accepted as obviousness without anyone questioning them amongst the many individuals interested in Africa for various motives. Then, I would have achieved my goal.
