This collection of Gene's stories did not just happen. We all knew that he was a good story teller, because he would occasionally break out with, "Oh, that reminds me", and one of his many stories would evolve. Nearly every time someone would conclude, "We ought to record that!".

Diversity and Cultural Competence in the Health Sector: Ebola-Affected Countries in West Africa examines the 20142016 Ebola crisis in three West African countries. The authors argue that this public health disaster was exacerbated by the lack of cultural competency in emergency response efforts. Considering the role of culture in the social, economic, health-related, and political dynamics that made these countries particularly vulnerable to the disease and how culturally competent approaches could have been employed sooner to reduce risk and prevent death and disability, this book serves as a guide for government officials, nongovernmental relief agencies, healthcare professionals, and public health personnel on how to effectively center cultural competence in emergency response to infectious disease outbreaks.

An evil magician is planning to take over the world. He thinks his enemies are among the living…When Lester Furnival and her friend Evelyn die in a plane crash, they find themselves walking through a ghostly, surreal, twilight London.Lester's fiancé is an artist, who is obsessed with images of a city so bright and true that he can't paint anything else. The scandalous magician Simon Leclerc has sacrificed his own child to gain control over this world…and the next.As Lester and Evelyn discover what has happened to them, they are pulled in different directions-one toward isolation and despair and the other toward a sacrificial self-giving that, to her great surprise, saves even her.All Hallows' Eve is Charles Williams' last and greatest novel. The grandfather of the urban fantasy genre, Williams novel is poignant, relevant, and chilling. Along with C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Williams formed The Inklings, a society of writers in Oxford, England who changed the world with their mythopoetic vision.

  • - The Sharecroppers Stories
    von Charles & III Watkins

This is set in the rural part of America in the 1960s.A great deal of African Americans were still in the South, picking cotton, chopping cotton, and working on plantations. Little did we know that in the 1960s, there was an industrial revolution not only in the north with the steel mills, stockyards, constructions, and in others, like domestic jobs in the home, hotels, and for drivers in all aspects of transportation.Every Sunday morning, African Americans would attend church, all day long in most situations because that was a tradition that was taking place in the South during the sharecropping days and slavery days.I found out that a great deal of churches provided financial support and education for the laughs because Americans were sharecroppers. African Americans, with their best Sunday clothes on, headed to the church to thank God for another week.Traditions such as gold traditions were maintained by the shoppers and also African American landholders and owners as well. There was also a great deal of landowners doing shopping. At this time, they did not have as much property as plantation owners. But they were lying on this, and they had so much pride in what they did in their work. These basic and general values for African Americans on Sundays is very powerful.Let us look forward to the next book that will discuss what happened after 1965 once the sharecropper grandson enters the Chicago metropolitan area after being gone for seven years and see his views and understanding of returning back from the rule of Mississippi to the Uptown Chicago. Lets see what changes in opportunity that will be taken advantage of and the disadvantages that he will experience. This is my view. This is my love for the book White Gold Cotton and Sharecroppers Stories.Charles Watkins lll, author of the book

  • - A Short History of the Holy Spirit in the Church
    von Charles & PhD Williams
    20,00 €

Charles Williams always makes you stop and think deeply.Charles Williams was a writer of unusual genius. He had an ability to make theological matters not merely interesting to the lay person; but to make them appear, what they in fact are, matters of Life and Death. His position is clear: The history of the church began an Pentecost and is the story of "the operation of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, on humanity." Williams reviews church history in terms of the action of the Holy Spirit, rather than the actions of humanity. The Descent of the Dove is a much needed supplement to traditional church histories.Charles Walter Stansby Williams (1886 -1945) was a British poet, novelist, playwright, theologian and literary critic. He was a member of the Inklings and a reader for Oxford University Press.
