Hezekiah is a little boy who gets abused and neglected by his mother and brothers from a very young age. His single mother has no job and so the family lives a very hard life. Hez, as he is nicknamed, finds comfort in reading books. He is a highly intelligent young lad who has special abilities that he doesn't know about yet. What are these special abilities he has? Will he ever stop being a victim of abuse? He eventually does harness his abilities and practicing them becomes his new way of shutting out the world. His mom is a religious fanatic and is involved in a congregation called God's Own, but something is off about them. What are their true plans?
