El objetivo de este libro es mostrar de manera sencilla la Evolución Histórica del Sistema Punitivo, abordando los aspectos más importantes de la historia de los establecimientos en el mundo, como el surgimiento de los principales sistemas, a continuación, en Brasil, más específicamente en la ciudad de Río de Janeiro, donde se construyeron los primeros establecimientos penitenciarios, y, por último, en el Estado de Acre, centrándose en la Unidad de Recuperación Francisco de Oliveira Conde, siendo la principal institución penitenciaria del Estado. La evolución histórica del sistema punitivo emplea métodos y medios coercitivos para reprimir la delincuencia, desde los siglos pasados hasta las modernas instituciones penitenciarias. Así, a lo largo de la historia, la forma de castigo ha sufrido varios cambios. En la antigüedad se combatía con crueldad y el poder soberano tenía la potestad de aplicar las penas. Desde la República, el poder punitivo del Estado se ha utilizado como instrumento para combatir la delincuencia.

The objective of this book is to show in a simple way the Historical Evolution of the Punitive System, addressing the most important aspects of the history of the establishments in the world, such as the emergence of the main systems, next, in Brazil, more specifically in the city of Rio de Janeiro, where the first prison establishments were built, and finally, in the State of Acre, focusing on the Recovery Unit Francisco de Oliveira Conde, being the main prison institution of the State. The historical evolution of the punitive system employs coercive methods and means to repress delinquency, since the past centuries until the modern correctional institutions. Thus, throughout history, the form of punishment has undergone several changes. In antiquity it was fought with cruelty and the sovereign power had the power to apply the penalties. Since the Republic, the punitive state power has been used as an instrument to combat crime.

L'objectif de ce livre est de montrer de manière simple l'évolution historique du système punitif, en abordant les aspects les plus importants de l'histoire des établissements dans le monde, tels que l'émergence des principaux systèmes, puis au Brésil, plus précisément dans la ville de Rio de Janeiro, où les premiers établissements pénitentiaires ont été construits, et enfin dans l'État d'Acre, en se concentrant sur l'unité de récupération Francisco de Oliveira Conde, qui est le principal établissement pénitentiaire de l'État. L'évolution historique du système punitif utilise des méthodes et des moyens coercitifs pour réprimer la délinquance, depuis les siècles passés jusqu'aux institutions correctionnelles modernes. L'obiettivo di questo libro è mostrare in modo semplice l'evoluzione storica del sistema punitivo, affrontando gli aspetti più importanti della storia degli istituti nel mondo, come l'emergere dei principali sistemi, poi, in Brasile, più precisamente nella città di Rio de Janeiro, dove sono stati costruiti i primi istituti penitenziari, e infine, nello Stato di Acre, concentrandosi sull'Unità di Recupero Francisco de Oliveira Conde, essendo la principale istituzione carceraria dello Stato. L'evoluzione storica del sistema punitivo impiega metodi e mezzi coercitivi per reprimere la delinquenza, dai secoli scorsi fino ai moderni istituti correzionali. Nel corso della storia, quindi, la forma della punizione ha subito diversi cambiamenti: nell'antichità veniva combattuta con crudeltà e il potere sovrano aveva la facoltà di applicare le pene. A partire dalla Repubblica, il potere punitivo dello Stato è stato utilizzato come strumento per combattere il crimine.

Das Ziel dieses Buches ist es, auf einfache Weise die historische Entwicklung des Strafvollzugssystems darzustellen und dabei die wichtigsten Aspekte der Geschichte der Einrichtungen in der Welt anzusprechen, wie z.B. die Entstehung der wichtigsten Systeme, als nächstes in Brasilien, genauer gesagt in der Stadt Rio de Janeiro, wo die ersten Gefängniseinrichtungen gebaut wurden, und schließlich im Bundesstaat Acre, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf der Erholungsanstalt Francisco de Oliveira Conde liegt, die die wichtigste Gefängniseinrichtung des Bundesstaates ist. In der geschichtlichen Entwicklung des Strafvollzugssystems wurden seit den vergangenen Jahrhunderten bis zu den modernen Justizvollzugsanstalten Zwangsmethoden und -mittel zur Unterdrückung von Straftaten eingesetzt. Im Laufe der Geschichte hat sich die Form der Bestrafung also mehrfach verändert: In der Antike wurde sie mit Grausamkeit bekämpft, und die hoheitliche Macht hatte die Befugnis, die Strafen zu verhängen. Seit der Republik wurde die strafende Staatsgewalt als Instrument zur Verbrechensbekämpfung eingesetzt.
