Eine Dimension, die oft in unser tägliches Leben eindringt, ohne dass wir sie wahrnehmen. Sie durchquert die Jahrhunderte und behält ihre Fähigkeit bei, prägende Komponenten des Diskurses und des Verhaltens zu bestrahlen; diese Bestrahlungen sind Teil der Aktivität der Werke selbst, auch wenn sich die Künstler dessen nicht voll bewusst sind. Sie prägen Körper, Verhaltensweisen und zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen, denn sie bilden die Grundformen der visuellen Diskurse, die unsere heutige Kultur geprägt haben. Die Kunst hat Funktionen, die unendlich viele theoretische Entwicklungen hervorgerufen haben, aber diese haben vernachlässigt, wie sich formale Fragen als Hintergrund eines komplexen Apparats konstituieren. Dieser ethische, ästhetische und politische Inhalt, der über eine oberflächliche Lektüre hinausgeht, liegt den Verhaltensweisen zugrunde, die befürwortet und aufrechterhalten werden.

Works of art are rooted in our culture and are capable of producing different resonances. In these works, different aspects of interpretation are developed, aimed at three specific axes: the aesthetic, the ethical and the political.art produces images that install a conflictive dimension. A dimension that often infiltrates and we do not perceive it in our daily lives. It crosses centuries and maintains its capacity to irradiate formative components of discourse and behaviour; these irradiations are part of the activity of the works themselves, even when the artists are not fully aware of them. They mark bodies, behaviours and relationships between people, because they constitute the founding forms of the visual discourses that have shaped our contemporary culture. Art has functions that have provoked an infinite number of theoretical developments, but these have neglected how formal questions are constituted as the background of a complex device. This ethical, aesthetic and political content, which exceeds superficial readings, are the underlying layers of the behaviours endorsed and sustained.

As obras de arte estão enraizadas na nossa cultura e são capazes de produzir diferentes ressonâncias. Nessas obras, são desenvolvidos diferentes aspectos de interpretação, visando três eixos específicos: o estético, o ético e o político. A arte produz imagens que instalam uma dimensão conflituosa. Uma dimensão que muitas vezes se infiltra e não nos apercebemos dela no nosso quotidiano. Atravessa séculos e mantém a sua capacidade de irradiar componentes formativas de discursos e comportamentos; estas irradiações fazem parte da atividade das próprias obras, mesmo quando os artistas não têm plena consciência delas. Elas marcam os corpos, os comportamentos e as relações entre as pessoas, porque constituem as formas fundadoras dos discursos visuais que moldaram a nossa cultura contemporânea. A arte tem funções que têm provocado uma infinidade de desenvolvimentos teóricos, mas estes têm negligenciado o modo como as questões formais se constituem como pano de fundo de um dispositivo complexo. Esse conteúdo ético, estético e político, que ultrapassa leituras superficiais, são as camadas subjacentes dos comportamentos endossados e sustentados.
