""The Man in the Corner"" is a collection of short mystery stories written by Hungarian-born British author, Emmuska Orczy. The book was first published in 1909 and features a mysterious man who sits in the corner of a London tea shop, solving crimes and mysteries using only his intellect and powers of deduction. The man, who remains unnamed throughout the book, is described as a wizened old gentleman with a keen eye for detail and a knack for solving even the most complex of cases. The stories are narrated by a young journalist who is fascinated by the man's abilities and begins to visit him regularly in order to hear his tales. Each story presents a new mystery for the man to solve, ranging from theft and blackmail to murder and espionage. As the man spins his tales, he challenges the journalist and the reader to try and solve the mystery before he reveals the solution. ""The Man in the Corner"" is a classic example of the detective genre and remains a popular read for fans of mystery and suspense. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
