I pazienti totalmente edentuli con grande riassorbimento osseo nella mandibola presentano un problema terapeutico significativo per la riabilitazione protesica, poiché in molti casi non è possibile ottenere la stabilità della protesi. Pertanto, la riabilitazione di questi individui con protesi totali convenzionali potrebbe non risolvere i problemi, sia funzionali che psicologici. Nello studio del presente lavoro, l'autore valuta l'impatto sulla salute orale in pazienti che utilizzavano protesi totali inferiori convenzionali dopo aver utilizzato un modello di protesi overdenture con lo scopo di utilizzarle in SUS.

Por ello, la rehabilitación de estos individuos con prótesis totales convencionales puede no solucionar los problemas, tanto funcionales como psicológicos. En el estudio del presente trabajo, el autor evalúa el impacto en la salud bucal en pacientes que utilizaban prótesis total inferior convencional después de utilizar un modelo de prótesis sobredentadura con el propósito de uso en SUS.

Völlig zahnlose Patienten mit großem Knochenabbau im Unterkiefer stellen ein erhebliches therapeutisches Problem für die prothetische Rehabilitation dar, da es in vielen Fällen nicht möglich ist, die Stabilität der Prothese zu erhalten. Daher kann die Rehabilitation dieser Patienten mit herkömmlichen Totalprothesen die funktionellen und psychologischen Probleme nicht lösen. In der Studie der vorliegenden Arbeit bewertet der Autor die Auswirkungen auf die Mundgesundheit von Patienten, die eine herkömmliche untere Totalprothese trugen, nachdem sie ein Modell einer Deckprothese für den Einsatz bei SuS verwendet hatten.

Les patients totalement édentés présentant une résorption osseuse importante au niveau de la mandibule posent un problème thérapeutique important pour la réhabilitation prothétique, car dans de nombreux cas, il n'est pas possible d'obtenir la stabilité de la prothèse. Par conséquent, la réhabilitation de ces personnes avec des prothèses totales conventionnelles peut ne pas résoudre les problèmes, tant fonctionnels que psychologiques. Dans l'étude du présent travail, l'auteur évalue l'impact sur la santé bucco-dentaire des patients qui ont utilisé des prothèses totales inférieures conventionnelles après avoir utilisé un modèle de prothèse overdenture dans le but de l'utiliser dans les SUS.

Totally edentulous patients with great bone resorption in the mandible present a significant therapeutic problem for prosthetic rehabilitation, as in many cases it is not possible to obtain stability of the prosthesis. Therefore, the rehabilitation of these individuals with conventional total prostheses may not solve the problems, both functional and psychological. In the study of the present work, the author evaluates the impact on the oral health in patients who used conventional lower total prosthesis after using a model of overdenture prosthesis with the purpose of use in SUS.

Portanto, a reabilitação destes indivíduos com próteses totais convencionais, pode não solucionar os problemas, tanto de ordem funcional como psicológica. No estudo da presente obra, o autor avalia o impacto sobre a saúde bucal em pacientes que utilizavam prótese total inferior convencional após utilizar um modelo de prótese overdenture com a finalidade de utilização no SUS.
