The second edition of this manual is a collaborative effort of pathologists from nine countries. The individual categories have been described in more detail, and a number of new entities have been included, such as placental site trophoblastic tumours and cystic granulosa cell tumour of infancy.

The second edition of this work, first published in 1981, is a collaborative effort of pathologists from six countries. Renal adenomas are presented in more detail, and several new tumour-like lesions are included, such as metanephric adenoma, chromophobe carcinoma and renal medullary carcinoma.
