Une étude descriptive, rétrospective et transversale a été réalisée dans le service d'orthopédie de l'hôpital Hermanos Ameijeiras, du 1er mai 2005 au 30 avril 2015. L'objectif était de caractériser le comportement de l'échec de la prothèse du genou chez les patients opérés pour gonarthrose. Avec un échantillon de 26 patients. Le sexe féminin prédominait avec 21 cas soit 80,8 %. L'âge moyen était de 72 ans avec un écart-type de 7,56 ans. Le genou le plus touché était le genou droit avec 14 patients (63,8%). L'échec prothétique est apparu avec un temps d'évolution entre 1 et 5 ans représenté par 46,2%, constatant que le tabagisme était un facteur de risque important suivi par l'obésité et le diabète sucré. L'échec aseptique prédominait. Le remplacement de la prothèse était la procédure la plus fréquemment utilisée.

Uno studio descrittivo, retrospettivo e trasversale è stato condotto nel servizio ortopedico dell'Ospedale Hermanos Ameijeiras, dal 1° maggio 2005 al 30 aprile 2015. Con l'obiettivo di caratterizzare il comportamento del fallimento della protesi di ginocchio nei pazienti operati per gonartrosi. Con un campione di 26 pazienti. Il sesso femminile predominava con 21 casi per l'80,8%. L'età media era di 72 anni con una deviazione standard di 7,56 anni. Il ginocchio più colpito è stato quello destro con 14 pazienti (63,8%). L'insuccesso protesico è comparso con un tempo di evoluzione compreso tra 1 e 5 anni, rappresentato dal 46,2%; il fumo è stato un importante fattore di rischio, seguito dall'obesità e dal diabete mellito. Predominano i fallimenti asettici. La sostituzione della protesi è stata la procedura più frequentemente utilizzata.

Vom 1. Mai 2005 bis zum 30. April 2015 wurde in der orthopädischen Abteilung des Krankenhauses Hermanos Ameijeiras eine deskriptive, retrospektive Querschnittsstudie durchgeführt. Ziel war es, das Verhalten von Knieprothesenversagen bei Patienten zu charakterisieren, die wegen einer Gonarthrose operiert wurden. Mit einer Stichprobe von 26 Patienten. Das weibliche Geschlecht überwiegt mit 21 Fällen (80,8 %). Das Durchschnittsalter betrug 72 Jahre mit einer Standardabweichung von 7,56 Jahren. 14 Patienten (63,8 %) hatten das rechte Knie am häufigsten betroffen. Prothesenversagen trat mit einer Entwicklungszeit zwischen 1 und 5 Jahren bei 46,2 % der Patienten auf, wobei Rauchen ein wichtiger Risikofaktor war, gefolgt von Adipositas und Diabetes mellitus. Aseptisches Versagen war vorherrschend. Der Prothesenwechsel war das am häufigsten angewandte Verfahren.

With the aim of characterising the behaviour of knee prosthesis failure in patients operated on for gonarthrosis. With a sample of 26 patients. The female sex predominated with 21 cases for 80.8 %. The mean age was 72 years with a standard deviation of 7.56 years. The most affected knee was the right knee with 14 patients (63.8%). Prosthetic failure appeared with an evolution time between 1 and 5 years represented by 46.2%, finding that smoking was an important risk factor followed by obesity and diabetes mellitus. Aseptic failure predominated. Prosthesis replacement was the most frequently used procedure.

Foi realizado um estudo descritivo, retrospetivo e transversal no serviço de ortopedia do Hospital Hermanos Ameijeiras, no período de 1 de maio de 2005 a 30 de abril de 2015. Com o objetivo de caraterizar o comportamento da falência da prótese do joelho em doentes operados por gonartrose. Com uma amostra de 26 doentes. O sexo feminino predominou com 21 casos para 80,8 %. A idade média foi de 72 anos com um desvio padrão de 7,56 anos. O joelho mais afetado foi o direito com 14 doentes (63,8%). A falência protética surgiu com um tempo de evolução entre 1 e 5 anos representado por 46,2%, verificando-se que o tabagismo foi um fator de risco importante seguido da obesidade e da diabetes mellitus. A falha asséptica predominou. A substituição da prótese foi o procedimento mais utilizado.
