Polemic Paper from the year 2019 in the subject Didactics - Politics, Political Education, grade: 1, , course: Military Science, language: English, abstract: The current insecurity and killing of Nigerians within Nigeria is unacceptable. Our country presided over by a retired army general Muhammadu Buhari has become so unsafe that one begin to wonder what would have happened if there was war with other countries. The situation has been worsened by hunger and poverty despite our huge natural resources. Sadly, Nigeria has been judged as the poverty capital of the world with over 80 million persons living in extreme poverty. The World bank has predicted that by 2021 Nigeria will become the country with the highest number of children that die before the age of five. In the midst of these anomalies, the same politicians that have looted our treasury continue to re-invest their loot as a way of re-cycling their evil leadership and expanding their business empires. This will further impoverish my people. We must stop them!

Polemic Paper from the year 2018 in the subject Politics - International Politics - Topic: Public International Law and Human Rights, grade: 1, National University of Public Service, language: English, abstract: This publication is intended to address notable individuals and institutions in Nigeria concerning the insecurity in Nigeria, the weak government response and the hydra-headed corruption promoted by the wasteful bicameral legislative system of the Nigerian National Assembly headed by the President of the Senate. One of the fulcrum of this publication focuses on the manipulations of democratic principles, bogus salaries appropriated to members of the national assembly against the set laws of the country. It highlights the fact that lawmakers are the real law breakers in Nigeria as they manipulate the law for personal economic gains and political aggrandizement. I have highlighted the discrepancies in governance with the purpose of exposing the loopholes and making recommendations for transparency and good governance. It is expected, that through this action, my previous publication, "Policing the Gaps between Budgets and Implementation in Developing Economies. The Impediments to Welfare and Security in Ghana and Nigeria", will have a robust leeway towards practical actualization.

Seminar paper from the year 2017 in the subject Politics - Region: Africa, grade: 1, , course: Doctoral School of Military Science, language: English, abstract: Many Nigerians seem not to be fully aware of the real meaning, implication and their rights to seek redress whenever they find themselves verbally attacked with the prejudices that comes with hate speech which is loaded with intentions to seclude and dehumanize. A country and its citizens must respect the rule of law in order to enhance mutual co-existence. When hate speech is historicized in Nigeria, it shows the role that it has played in catapulting religious, cultural, political and economic differences to a level where uncertainties and tensions are brought to bear. Hitherto, hate speech was not entrenched in the Nigerian constitution until its effects began to threaten the peaceful co-existence of the country especially under the government of President Buhari. This paper sets out to examine in details, how various persons have used hate sheech to achieve their selfish purposes at the detriment of national interest. It will analyse the intentions of such persons and profer solutions to ameliorate its divisive effects. It will go further to examine various ways through which citizens could easily seek cushioned redress.

Master's Thesis from the year 2017 in the subject Politics - International Politics - General and Theories, grade: 1, , course: International and European Studies, language: English, abstract: This paper sets out to examine how and why a country take decisions on international issues without recourse to consulting or liaising with other countries either in the execution of war or in the course of embarkation on peacemaking. Focus shall be on some wars and peace-making efforts solely planned and implemented without recourse to set international rules and respect for the protection of human rights and how it affects international relations. What are the impacts of such unilateral decisions? Some of these actions were adjudged either wrong or right especially when unilateralism was precipitated by the lack of consensus to reach negotiations or how unilateralism negatively affects other countries. From whatever position these actions are evaluated, it is a growing anomaly that could manifest dire consequences. What are the statistics of unilateralism in modern times? This thesis shall also examine how the international community responds to unilateralism in conflict resolution. How effective has the reactions of the United Nations towards unilateralism been to date? What are the causes, motivation and consequences of unilateralism? Unilateralism in itself does not determine the legitimacy or illegitimacy of an action. It is the circumstances of the action and the responses of other states that usually determine the legitimacy of unilateralism; especially if the action affects a third state. This thesis shall examine the effects of multilateral responses against unilateralism and how such responses have guarded the norms of international relations and human rights. When does multilateral inaction instigate unilateralism for global benefit? Why do majority of countries remain silent when a country wrongly embark on a unilateral action to attack or annex another country?

Scientific Study from the year 2017 in the subject Politics - Basics and General, grade: 5, , course: Political Science and Governance, language: English, abstract: In the developing world of Africa, transition of a group of people into the class of political elites is mostly facilitated by a 'godfather' (a prominent member of the elite class) or a network of godfathers. Both the sub-elite and non-elite could be recruited into the political elite class when they agree to meet the strident conditions for such a recruitment exercise. The godfather is a self-seeking enigma with material frame of opulence, affluence and influence mixed with ruthless decisiveness. Political godfathers use their influence to block others from being relevant participants in the politics of the society through their wealth and power. Godfathers are political gatekeepers that determine the entrants. He or she is the impervious guardian figure that manipulates the political landscape by dictating and providing the lifeline and navigational direction to the godson or goddaughter who in turn, surrender to reciprocate with a service of total submission, subservience and provisions to the oracular personality with less priority concern to the citizens. In the course of reaching a conclusion, this paper sets out to historicize on the trajectories of the democratic and human conflicts that emanates from Godfatherism in Delta state of Nigeria with related references to other parts of the country; to examine the causative factors orchestrating the phenomenon of Godfatherism in the state; to specifically ascertain some selected incidences of Godfatherism in the electoral processes in Delta state within a specified period; to identify the implications of the prevalence of godfatherism in the developmental process of Delta state; and to offer recommendations on practical ways to arrest the malaise of Godfatherism.
