Jednak poziom przeciwciä ochronnych indukowanych przez szczepionk¿ stopniowo s¿abnie w miar¿ up¿ywu czasu i mo¿e osi¿gn¿¿ bardzo niski lub nawet niewykrywalny poziom. Badania immunologiczne wykazäy, ¿e szczepionka HB indukuje pami¿¿ immunologiczn¿, a komórki B pami¿ci mog¿ generowä szybk¿ i siln¿ odpowied¿ anamnestyczn¿ anty-HBs przy ponownej ekspozycji na HBsAg. W zwi¿zku z tym, d¿ugoterminowa ochrona po szczepieniu i ewentualna potrzeba podania dawki przypominaj¿cej szczepionki pozostaje kontrowersyjna. Aby odpowiedzie¿ na to pytanie, zastosowali¿my dwa ró¿ne podej¿cia w celu okre¿lenia czasu trwania ochrony zapewnianej przez szczepionk¿ przeciwko HBs. L'infection par le virus de l'hépatite B (VHB) est un problème de santé publique majeur dans le monde entier et le vaccin contre le VHB est la mesure la plus efficace pour prévenir l'infection par le VHB. Une valeur seuil anti-HBs initiale de 10 mUI/ml ou plus est considérée comme généralement protectrice. Cependant, les anticorps protecteurs induits par le vaccin HB s'affaiblissent progressivement au fil du temps et peuvent atteindre un niveau très bas, voire indétectable. Des études immunologiques ont indiqué que le vaccin HB induit une mémoire immunologique et que les cellules B à mémoire peuvent générer une réponse anamnestique anti-HBs rapide et vigoureuse lors d'une réexposition à l'HBsAg. En conséquence, la protection à long terme après la vaccination et la nécessité éventuelle d'une dose de rappel du vaccin sont restées controversées. Pour répondre à cette question, nous avons utilisé deux approches différentes pour déterminer la durée de la protection conférée par le vaccin HB. Quatre études différentes seront présentées : a) La séroprotection du vaccin HB et la nécessité d'une dose de rappel : Une méta-analyse b) Protection à long terme assurée par le vaccin HB et nécessité d'une dose de rappel : Une méta-analyse c) Méthode de capture-recapture pour évaluer le biais de publication. d) MetaPlot : Un nouveau graphique Stata pour évaluer l'hétérogénéité en un coup d'¿il

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a major public health problem worldwide and HB vaccine is the most effective measure to prevent HB virus infection. An initial anti-HBs threshold value of 10 mIU/ml or greater is considered generally protective. However, the protective antibodies induced by HB vaccine wane gradually over time and may reach very low or even undetectable level. Immunologic studies indicated that HB vaccine induces immunologic memory and memory B cells can generate a rapid and vigorous anamnestic anti-HBs response upon re-exposure to HBsAg. Accordingly, long-term protection after vaccination and the possible need for booster dose of vaccine has remained controversial. To answer this question, we used two different approaches to determine the duration of protection provided by HB vaccine.
