Alexander and Papa's Number Walk is a heartwarming story about a child and his papa. Alexander and Papa take the reader on an exploratory walk looking for numerals 1 to 10. They discover one-to-one correspondence with objects throughout the environment.The story is inspired by the author's father and ventriloquist doll, Alexander. Papa was a former deputy friendly in Racine County in Wisconsin. Alexander accompanied Papa on appearances to schools, fairs, parades, and various functions in Racine, Wisconsin. Alexander was a pillar of laughs for children throughout Racine, Wisconsin.Papa was able to maintain his role as deputy friendly until he retired. Papa passed in 2015. The doll, Alexander, spends time with Papa's children and grandchildren. Alexander is set to make appearances with his new book, honoring his papa.

Denise is a great friend. She was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of two. She was destined to become a helper and teacher. When she was four years old, she alerted hospital staff that a baby's ventilator wasn't working properly. The staff and her family were very proud of her. She persevered through hospital stays, joint aches, and being teased. She graduated and became a special education teacher. She is a caring individual and advocates for children. Denise is a positive asset to the field of education.

Jenni is a seven-year-old only child growing up in the 70s. She resided with her mother Rose. I'm Different explores the challenges Jenni faced as a biracial child. Her mother's strength and support were invaluable to Jenni growing up. Jenni's mother always told her she wasn't just black or white. She was both and she had the best of both worlds. Jenni grew up to be a local pageant title holder in the Miss America pageant, NBA dancer, and college graduate. During her reign as Miss Racine Wisconsin, she was able to work with over three thousand students in the Racine Wisconsin Unified School District. Her platform included talking about differences and being different was to be celebrated. She dedicates I'm Different to her late mother Rose and principal Mr. M for being her support.

Matthew is four years old and is hearing impaired. He enjoys his classroom, friends, and teachers. Matthew is in a special education preschool classroom. He introduces the reader to his friends and explains what an IEP (individual education plan) is. Matthew and his friends all support each other with the various skills they are working on. Some of Matthew's friends are visually impaired, unable to walk, working on behavior, communication and self-help goals, or on the autism spectrum. They all help each other and celebrate their different abilities. Matthew enjoys going to school.

Tyler is a five-year old boy. I'm Blind In One Eye explores the experiences Tyler faces as a child born with Persistent Hyperplastic Primary Vitreous (PHPV). Tyler's persistence and curiosity keep him going, despite being born blind in one eye. It is all he knows. His strength, positivity, and zest for life make his family proud.
