Das Buch untersucht aus einer sprach- und kulturvergleichenden Perspektive deutsches und chinesisches Danken im akademischen Bereich. Im Rahmen eines integrativen theoretischen Ansatzes wird eine quantitative und qualitative korpusbasierte vergleichende Analyse deutscher und chinesischer Monographie-Danksagungen unternommen. Das Datenkorpus bilden insgesamt 404 deutsche und chinesische Monographie-Danksagungen. Mit Hilfe der empirischen Analyse werden die Ergebnisse gezeigt: Sowohl die deutschen als auch die chinesischen Monographie-Danksagungen sind durch eine Reihe von charakteristischen textuellen und verbalen bzw. paraverbalen Merkmalen gekennzeichnet. Zugleich weichen sie in verschiedenen sprach- und kulturbedingten Eigenheiten voneinander ab.

Her mother pushed a pinewood washboard against her belly trying to abort Jing Li. At two months old, Jing was left with her resentful peasant grandmother, who had a pair of three-inch bound feet, and had once thrown her own newborn daughter headfirst into the urine pot to drown because she wanted a boy. Running free, playing alone in the wilderness of her remote, impoverished village in Shanxi Province, Northern China's pine forest mountains, Jing's giggling and laughter annoyed her grandmother, who called her a "born stubborn dog," and "tiny slit eyes just like her bad-omen, ugly mother." Her relatively carefree village life abruptly ended when Jing turned eight-she was sent to the faraway city of Taiyuan. A frightened peasant girl in the city, Jing was the tallest girl in school, despite the dire poverty of her early childhood. Living in tenement housing as a servant waiting on her unpredictable violent father, bitterly resentful mother, and two doted-on younger brothers were the darkest era in her growing up years.School again became her refuge, as she excelled and quickly learned the Taiyuan dialect and standard Chinese. But in less than a year, emotionally and physically abused Jing fell apart. Her hands became too weak to button her shirt or hold a pencil to write even one word; her walking gait became so crooked she kicked her ankles bloody; her heart beat wildly like a running horse one minute and stalled the next. It was spring 1965. Jing was barely nine years old. Her near-fatal disease was diagnosed as "heart-disease" and the doctor predicted it would cut her young life short by age twenty-five. But the forty-day hospitalization turned out to be a respite from abuse: The smiling doctors and nurses took good care of Jing while her parents were too busy to visit her. It was a stoke of good fortune that Jing's health broke down in 1965 instead of 1966, the year Chairman Mao launched his vicious Cultural Revolution, when all doctors were denounced as evil counter-revolutionary and forced to become janitors sweeping floors and cleaning toilets.At age ten, Jing was looking forward to another successful school year-her fourth grade. It presents technology that makes full use of the broadband low-loss advantages of optoelectronic technology and research into new broadband radio-frequency channelization and receiving technology based on photoelectric sensing.The methods presented allow improvements in system performance in terms of receiving bandwidth, frequency-sensing accuracy, channel equalization, adjacent channel crosstalk, dynamic range, and complexity of the system structure. In addressing the difficulty of satellite spectrum control, including the issue of high-precision and real-time wide-spectrum sensing not being able to be obtained simultaneously, the book solves the problem of accurate and parallel-decomposition sensing technology using the dual-phase optical frequency comb. The mobility of international students is currently an important policy issue in the world. Since 1960¿s, Canada and other OECD countries started to use a point system to select highly skilled immigrants. Those point systems favor international students who received higher education in the host country. Therefore, the point system is believed to reshape the international students flow in the last decades. This study aims to examining the impact of using point systems to select immigrant on the international students flow, by comparing the international student stock in a certain country before and after a point system. The research indicates that using point systems in migration policy does increase the international student stock in the receiving countries. The analysis should help shed some light on understanding the pattern of international students flow, and the dynamics between migration policy and academic mobility. This research should be especially useful to professionals in International Education fields, or anyone else who may be interested in education and migration.

Die vorliegende Studie ist eine rechtslinguistische Untersuchung zur Explizierung des textgestützten und diskursbasierten Rechtsstreits zwischen verschiedenen Rechtsarbeitern (Richter, Staatsanwalt, Rechtsanwalt) im Rechtsfindungsverfahren. Als Untersuchungskorpus gelten die authentischen Textmaterialien (Anklageschriften, Berufungs- bzw. Revisionsschriften, Urteile und Schriftsätze usw.) von sechs zusammenhängenden Rechtsfällen aus der deutschen Rechtspraxis. Die Analyse setzt sich zum Ziel, einerseits zugunsten des interdisziplinären Erkenntnisinteresses einen exemplarischen Beitrag zu der in Anbetracht ihrer Relevanz noch relativ wenig erforschten textlinguistischen Beschäftigung mit Rechtstexten zu leisten und andererseits den fachspezifischen Kommunikationsvorgang in stärkerem Maße anhand linguistischer Instrumentarien verständlich zu machen. Die entwickelten Beschreibungsansätze richten sich auf die differenzierten Sprachhandlungsmuster und die dabei verwendeten spezifischen Handlungsstrategien und Perspektivierungsanstrengungen. Dadurch wird sowohl juristischen Fachleuten als auch Laien ein transparentes Analysemodell der Rechtskommunikation unterbreitet.
