The study of censorship is important not because we are shocked by the contents of a book or because a complaint about a work offends our sensibilities, but rather because this conflict between powerful opposing forces in society can threaten its foundations and ideals.

Aims to show the different arguments surrounding issues of censorship and freedom of speech through the eyes of those who are involved. It introduces many kinds of people, from feminists arguing different points concerning pornography to those who feel censorship is justified religion.
