El estudio se ha realizado entre los siete laboratorios del CSIR del noreste y este de la India. Die Analyse der wissenschaftlichen Produktivität und des Forschungsoutputs ist eine gängige Praxis für Forschungseinrichtungen. Um die Forschungsproduktivität der CSIR-Wissenschaftler zu messen, hat der Autor eine bibliometrische Analyse der in der SCOPUS-Datenbank indexierten Veröffentlichungen durchgeführt. Die Studie wurde in sieben CSIR-Labors in Nordost- und Ostindien durchgeführt. Es handelt sich um das North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST), Jorhat; das Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI), Kolkata; das Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), Kolkata; das Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT), Bhubaneswar; das Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), Durgapur; das National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), Jamshedpur und das Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR), Dhanbad. In der Studie wurde die Anzahl der von den Institutionen veröffentlichten Arbeiten analysiert, und es wurde auch die höchste Anzahl von Zitierungen während des Berichtszeitraums erörtert.
