Der technologische Fortschritt hat es den Universitäten ermöglicht, die Art und Weise, wie sie Informationen für Lehre, Forschung und ihre eigene Verwaltung sammeln, verarbeiten und verbreiten, neu zu bewerten. Die bibliothekarischen Dienstleistungen, die den Fernstudenten angeboten werden, standen im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit, die darauf abzielte, die Rolle des Bibliothekars zu analysieren und die von den Bibliotheken im Fernstudium angebotenen Dienstleistungen, die Mittel der Kommunikation zwischen Bibliothekaren und Fernstudenten sowie die Ausbildung dieser Bibliothekare darzustellen. Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse waren, dass die bibliografische Übersicht die von den Fernstudenten am meisten genutzte Dienstleistung war und dass E-Mail und Telefon die am häufigsten genutzten Mittel zur Kommunikation mit diesen Studenten waren.

Les progrès technologiques ont permis aux universités de réévaluer leurs méthodes de collecte, de traitement et de diffusion de l'information pour l'enseignement, la recherche et leur propre administration. Les services bibliothécaires offerts aux étudiants à distance ont fait l'objet de ce travail, qui visait à analyser le rôle du bibliothécaire, à présenter les services fournis par les bibliothèques dans le cadre de l'apprentissage à distance, les moyens de communication entre les bibliothécaires et les étudiants à distance, ainsi que la formation de ces bibliothécaires. Les principaux résultats sont que l'enquête bibliographique est le service le plus utilisé par les étudiants à distance, et que le courrier électronique et le téléphone sont les outils les plus utilisés pour communiquer avec ces étudiants.

Technological advances have enabled universities to re-evaluate their ways of gathering, processing and disseminating information for teaching, research and their own administration. The librarian services offered to distance learning students was the focus of this work, which aimed to analyse the librarian's role, as well as present the services provided by libraries in distance learning, the means of communication between librarians and distance learning students and also the training of these librarians. The main results were that the bibliographic survey was the service most used by distance learning students, and that e-mail and telephone were the tools most used to communicate with these students.

Los avances tecnológicos han permitido a las universidades reevaluar sus formas de recopilar, procesar y difundir información para la enseñanza, la investigación y su propia administración. Los servicios bibliotecarios ofrecidos a los estudiantes de enseñanza a distancia fue el objeto de este trabajo, que pretendía analizar el papel del bibliotecario, así como presentar los servicios prestados por las bibliotecas en la enseñanza a distancia, los medios de comunicación entre los bibliotecarios y los estudiantes de enseñanza a distancia y también la formación de estos bibliotecarios. Los principales resultados fueron que la encuesta bibliográfica era el servicio más utilizado por los estudiantes de enseñanza a distancia, y que el correo electrónico y el teléfono eran las herramientas más utilizadas para comunicarse con estos estudiantes.

I progressi tecnologici hanno permesso alle università di rivalutare le modalità di raccolta, elaborazione e diffusione delle informazioni per l'insegnamento, la ricerca e la propria amministrazione. I servizi bibliotecari offerti agli studenti a distanza sono stati al centro di questo lavoro, che mirava ad analizzare il ruolo del bibliotecario, nonché a presentare i servizi forniti dalle biblioteche nell'ambito dell'apprendimento a distanza, i mezzi di comunicazione tra bibliotecari e studenti a distanza e anche la formazione di questi bibliotecari. I risultati principali sono stati che il sondaggio bibliografico è stato il servizio più utilizzato dagli studenti a distanza e che l'e-mail e il telefono sono stati gli strumenti più usati per comunicare con questi studenti.

Os avanços tecnológicos vêm propiciando às universidades reavaliar suas formas de reunir, processar e disseminar a informação para o ensino, pesquisa e para sua própria administração. Os serviços bibliotecários oferecidos para os alunos de ensino a distância constituiu-se o foco deste trabalho, que teve por objetivo analisar a atuação do bibliotecário, bem como apresentar os serviços realizados pelas bibliotecas no ensino a distância, os meios de comunicação entre o bibliotecário e os alunos de ensino a distância e também a formação desses bibliotecários. Apontou como principais resultados o levantamento bibliográfico como o serviço mais utilizado pelos alunos de EaD, e constatou-se que o e-mail e o telefone são as ferramentas mais utilizadas para se comunicar com esses alunos.
