Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is associated with long- and short-term adverse reactions (ARs). The objectives of this book are to describe patient demographics, types of AR according to treatment regimen, organ and system affected, severity, causality category, reporting health professional, reporting health facility, and timing of reporting of suspected ARR to antiretroviral (ARV) drugs to the National Centre for Pharmacovigilance (CNFV). A retrospective review was conducted of the ARV ARV suspicion notification forms reported to the CNFV from January 2007 to December 2010. We included 1972 notifications in which 2502 ARVs were identified, 1160 (58.82%) were male, ranging in age from 1 to 96 years (median age 37 years). Antiretroviral treatment (ART) regimens classified as suspicious were 29, the most reported being AZT+3TC+NVP, with 839(42.55%) notifications.

A terapêutica antirretroviral (TARV) está associada a reacções adversas (RA) a longo e a curto prazo. Os objectivos deste livro são descrever os dados demográficos dos doentes, os tipos de RA de acordo com o regime de tratamento, o órgão e o sistema afectados, a gravidade, a categoria de causalidade, o profissional de saúde que efectua a notificação, o estabelecimento de saúde que efectua a notificação e o momento da notificação de suspeitas de RA a medicamentos anti-retrovirais (ARV) ao Centro Nacional de Farmacovigilância (CNFV). Foi efectuada uma análise retrospetiva dos formulários de notificação de suspeitas de ARV comunicados ao CNFV de janeiro de 2007 a dezembro de 2010. Incluímos 1972 notificações nas quais foram identificados 2502 ARV, 1160 (58,82%) eram do sexo masculino, com idades compreendidas entre 1 e 96 anos (idade média de 37 anos). Os esquemas de tratamento antirretroviral (TARV) classificados como suspeitos foram 29, sendo o mais notificado o AZT+3TC+NVP, com 839(42,55%) notificações.

Les objectifs de cet ouvrage sont de décrire les caractéristiques démographiques des patients, les types d'EI selon le schéma thérapeutique, l'organe et le système affectés, la gravité, la catégorie de causalité, le professionnel de santé déclarant, l'établissement de santé déclarant et le moment de la déclaration au Centre national de pharmacovigilance (CNFV) des suspicions d'EI liés aux médicaments antirétroviraux (ARV). Une étude rétrospective a été menée sur les formulaires de notification de suspicion de RRA aux antirétroviraux rapportés au CNFV de janvier 2007 à décembre 2010. Nous avons inclus 1972 notifications dans lesquelles 2502 ARV ont été identifiés, 1160 (58,82%) étaient des hommes, âgés de 1 à 96 ans (âge médian 37 ans). Les schémas de traitement antirétroviral (TAR) classés comme suspects étaient au nombre de 29, le plus fréquent étant AZT+3TC+NVP, avec 839 (42,55%) notifications.

Die antiretrovirale Therapie (ART) ist mit lang- und kurzfristigen Nebenwirkungen (AR) verbunden. Die Ziele dieses Buches sind die Beschreibung der demografischen Daten der Patienten, der Arten von AR je nach Behandlungsschema, des betroffenen Organs und Systems, des Schweregrads, der Kausalkategorie, des meldenden medizinischen Fachpersonals, der meldenden medizinischen Einrichtung und des Zeitpunkts der Meldung von vermuteten ARR auf antiretrovirale (ARV) Arzneimittel an das Nationale Zentrum für Pharmakovigilanz (CNFV). Es wurde eine retrospektive Überprüfung der Meldeformulare für den Verdacht auf ARV-Medikamente durchgeführt, die dem CNFV von Januar 2007 bis Dezember 2010 gemeldet wurden. Los objetivos de este libro son describir las características demográficas de los pacientes, tipos de RA según esquema de tratamiento, órgano y sistema afectado, gravedad, categoría de causalidad, profesional de salud notificador, establecimiento de salud del notificante y tiempo de notificación de las sospechas de RA a medicamentos antiretrovirales (ARV) al Centro Nacional de Farmacovigilancia (CNFV). Se realizó una revisión retrospectiva de los formatos de notificación de sospecha de RA a medicamentos ARV notificados al CNFV de enero del 2007 a diciembre del 2010. Se incluyeron 1972 notificaciones en los que se identificó 2502 RA, 1160 (58.82%) fueron del sexo masculino, con rangos de edades de 1 a 96 años (mediana de edad 37 años).
