Eine der zentralen Fragen der Wissenschaftsphilosophie lautet, wie sich der besondere epistemische Status von wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnis rechtfertigen lässt. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird die Frage nach epistemischer Rechtfertigung neu aufgegriffen und mit Blick auf den Zusammenhang empirischer Evidenz und epistemischer Praxis hinterfragt. Die Debatten zwischen Realismus, Empirismus und Relativismus im 20. und 21. Jahrhundert weisen dabei auf die Notwendigkeit einer synthetischen Lösung des Rechtfertigungsproblems hin. Dieser Ansatz war im Pragmatismus und Pluralismus John Deweys bereits weitgehend angelegt, wurde aber überwiegend ignoriert. In diesem Buch wird Deweys pragmatische Wissenschaftsphilosophie in den Kontext der aktuellen Debatten gesetzt und als historische Grundlage für einen aktuellen, synthetischen Rechtfertigungsansatz genutzt.

I started writing down ideas and poems many years ago. I would just think of some or look for inspirations, such as rainbows and sunsets and morning fresh snow. I also jotted down thoughts and feeling. Then I put them all together and came up with the Thought Poems title for my first book. The poems I have created are that of my own design with a bit of a twist to some of them. But also there are memories and feelings of some of the poems that made me into a better person that I am today. These poems are true and from the heart. Creation of the title took a while too. I thought of other titles, but they didn't seem to fit, so when this one came to mind, I knew it was the perfect title for my book. I often thought I had writer's block, trying to come up with this creative title, which I hope catches everyone's eye. I hope that you enjoy the book and that everyone you know does as well.
