This paper will provide an answer to the research question: "To what extend is Mexico's manufacturing sector dependent on NAFTA and the resulting FDI, and what are the impacts of NAFTA on regional disparities in the wages and the productivity of Mexico's manufacturing sector?" while giving an prospect of NAFTA¿s future and presenting possible remedies.
