Robotics Education provides the opportunity for students to bring their individual interests, perspectives and areas of expertise together in order to work collaboratively in a real-world science. In order to increase students¿ engagement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields, it is important that they increase their time working with concrete STEM tasks in collaborative groups. Many researchers have been investigating the use of robotics to support education. Several studies have shown that robots can help students develop problem-solving abilities and learn computer programming, mathematics and science.

    Academic Paper from the year 2023 in the subject Didactics - Physics, grade: 1,0, , language: English, abstract: The main objective of this research study is to explain the experiences and challenges encountered by 25 secondary science teachers with the implementation of the Spiral Progression Approach in Teaching (SPAT). Thematic Analysis was used to analyze the information given by the respondents, which was gathered through informal interviews and focal group discussions.Spiral progression is an approach used to teach science and mathematics. It focuses on the understanding that human cognition evolved in a step-by-step process of learning, which relied on environmental interaction and experience to form intuition and knowledge. Under SPAT, students are exposed to authentic assessment instead of traditional classroom assessment, meaning that the tasks they perform relate to the real world and have a practical value. These tasks may include project based learning, performance task, portfolios, collaborative works and online examinations.The data gathered in the study serves as base line data for the constructive recommendation in accord with the response of the key informants. This research may be useful to other subject areas that also uses spiral progression in teaching.
