Noile mecanisme managerial-economice ap¿rute cu ocazia necesit¿¿ii economiei sociale vor trebui cercetate de c¿tre speciali¿tii în economie, inginerie ¿i management ¿i nu numai, astfel încât s¿ r¿spund¿ nevoilor presante ale umanit¿¿ii începând de la formele diverse de organizare ¿i/sau juridice cum ar fi: cooperativele, societ¿¿ile mutuale, asociäiile, fundäiile etc. pân¿ la managementul modelelor de întreprindere (întreprinderea de economie social¿) care nu se pot caracteriza prin dimensiuni, prin sectoare în care î¿i desf¿¿oar¿ activitatea sau printr-o înl¿n¿uire de decizii în condi¿ii de certitudine, ci prin valori comune ¿i decizii în condi¿ii de ¿Leb¿d¿ Neagr¿¿. În scopul redact¿rii tezei de abilitare candidatul a utilizat ca metod¿ ¿studiul de caz¿, una dintre multiplele metode de cercetare existente, cu avantajele ¿i dezavantajele ei (Yin, 2005, p. 17). Am preferat aceast¿ strategie pentru c¿ întreb¿rile ini¿iale pe care le punem sunt de genul ¿cum¿ ¿i ¿de ce¿ ¿i pentru c¿ avem un control redus asupra evenimentelor, iar aten¿ia noastr¿ este îndreptat¿ asupra noilor mecanisme managerial-economice, a necesit¿¿ii aprofund¿rii cercet¿rilor în domeniul ingineriei ¿i managemen.
