In all the forty years of praying, of which only a partial record could be kept, there was no topic more satisfactory than the experience of such a large company in praying for money. There was no prearranged plan of procedure and no speculative purpose to obtain the help of God in the accumulation of property. But for some reason, which is not now recalled, there was given out for an evening's meditation the topic, "Shall we pray for money?" There was a strong division of opinion, some asserting that we are not authorized to pray for anything but for the Holy Spirit. Others asserted with complete confidence that prayer should be made for anything which we felt we needed.

    1. "What You Can Do With Your Will Power" by Russell H. Conwell is a self-help book that explores the power of the human will and how it can be harnessed to achieve success in life. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which focuses on a different aspect of willpower, such as its importance in achieving goals, overcoming obstacles, and developing self-discipline. The author draws on his own experiences and those of other successful individuals to provide practical advice and strategies for developing and strengthening one's willpower. He also discusses the role of positive thinking, perseverance, and determination in achieving success, as well as the importance of setting clear goals and taking action towards them. Throughout the book, Conwell emphasizes the importance of taking responsibility for one's own life and using one's willpower to overcome challenges and achieve success. He also provides examples of individuals who have used their willpower to accomplish great things, from inventors and entrepreneurs to athletes and artists. Overall, ""What You Can Do With Your Will Power"" is a motivational and inspiring book that encourages readers to tap into their own inner strength and use their willpower to achieve their dreams and goals. 2. The Key to Success is a self-help book written by Russell H. Conwell and originally published in 1917. The key to success in life is to learn from every detail of life, even from the most insignificant trivialities or aspects. The most influential men gain wisdom in every detail of their environment and that is why they succeed and lead. The book emphasizes the elements that underlie success, in which Conwell offers a series of essays or reflections on topics that seem like common sense but are worth stopping to think about. As a negative aspect, the book has not aged well and it is worth noting the negative view of the role of women in the triumph of men, sometimes blaming the failure of men on the fault of their wives. It is necessary to think about the time in which it was written and the social context, today such reflections would be unthinkable. The book consists of the following chapters:Observation: The Key to Success Who the Real Leaders Are Mastering Natural Forces Whom Mankind Shall Love Need of Orators Woman's Influence

"This book is sent out to induce people to look at their own eyes, to pick up the gold in their laps, to study anatomy under the tutorship of their own hearts. One could accumulate great wisdom and secure fortunes by studying his own finger-nails. This lesson seems the very easiest to learn, and for that reason is the most difficult." People are thinking, but they can think much more. The housewife is thinking about the chemical changes caused by heat in meats, vegetables, and liquids. The sailor thinks about the gold in sea-water, the soldier thinks of smokeless powder and muffled guns; the puddler meditates on iron squeezers and electric furnaces; the farmer admires Luther Burbank's magical combinations in plant life; the school-girl examines the composition of her pencil and analyses the writing-paper; the teacher studies psychology at first hand; the preacher understands more of the life that now is; the merchant and manufacturer give more attention to the demand. Yes, we are all thinking. But we are still thinking too far away; even the prism through which we see the stars is near the eyes. The dentist is thinking too much about other people's teeth. This book is sent out to induce people to look at their own eyes, to pick up the gold in their laps, to study anatomy under the tutorship of their own hearts. One could accumulate great wisdom and secure fortunes by studying his own finger-nails. This lesson seems the very easiest to learn, and for that reason is the most difficult. The lecture, "The Silver Crown," which the author has been giving in various forms for fifty years, is herein printed from a stenographic report of one address on this general subject. It will not be found all together, as a lecture, for this book is an attempt to give further suggestion on the many different ways in which the subject has been treated, just as the lecture has varied in its illustrations from time to time. The lecture was addressed to the ear. This truth, which amplifies the lecture, is addressed to the eye. I have been greatly assisted, and sometimes superseded, in the preparation of these pages by Prof. James F. Willis, of Philadelphia. Bless him! My hope is by this means to reach a larger audience even than that which has heard some of the things herein so many times in the last forty-five years. We do not hope to give or sell anything to the reader. He has enough already. But many starve with bread in their mouths. They spit it out and weep for food. Humans are a strange collection. But they can be induced to think much more accurately and far more efficiently. This book is sent out as an aid to closer observation and more efficient living.

The well-known American Baptist clergyman, orator, philanthropist, lawyer, and author Russell Conwell explains how prosperity is a spiritual notion and the outcome of one's spiritual beliefs in the current book, Acres of Diamonds. This book demonstrates where to seek to find a fortune. Conwell created opportunities for countless millions of people because he had the belief that ""all good things are achievable."" Acres of Diamonds is a reflection of his fundamental conviction that every one of us is here on Earth primarily to be of service to others. Conwell was a preacher who founded two hospitals where no one has ever turned away due to financial hardship, as well as Temple University. He was a well-known professor as well. The main plot concerns a Persian farmer who, ironically, lost a sizable amount of money while searching for a diamond mine when, in fact, his farmland-which he had sold to pay for his search-actually contained acres of diamonds. Conwell provides several further instances of tales centered around commodities like gold, oil, etc. Remember that the grass isn't always greener on the other side and don't dismiss your current situation, knowledge, and connections too fast. Despite some rambling, it's still a fantastic narrative with a timeless moral.
