Utilizando el psicoanálisis, la teoría queer y el concepto deleuziano de ¿convertirse en mujer¿ como marcos complementarios, la autora reflexiona sobre la construcción de los personajes principales de las películas y el viaje que atraviesan como un proyecto político feminista para romper el imaginario normativo patriarcal que atrapa a la niña en un proceso lineal construido socialmente de crecer para convertirse en la mujer esperada.

A compared film analysis of the three coming-of-age films Water Lilies, Tomboy, and Girlhood, of the French filmmaker, Céline Sciamma, investigates the queer potencial of the figure of the girl in cinematic representations. Using Psychoanalysis, Queer Theory and the Deleuzian concept of ¿becoming-woman¿ as complementary frameworks, the author reflects on the construction of the main characters of the films and the journey they go through as a feminist political project to disrupt the normative patriarchal imaginary which traps the girl in a linear social constructed process of growing up to become the expected woman.
