Thorne Smith was one of the early 20th century's best-known writers of humorous supernatural fantasy. Before reaching global fame with his 1926 novel Topper, he produced a string of popular short stories, of which 'A Smokey Lady In Knickers' was one of the best. Many of the earliest ghost stories and tales of hauntings, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
