Case Study from the year 2021 in the subject Gender Studies, , language: English, abstract: In a bid to elucidate the extent of gender separation in Taiwan, this study was conducted to examine birds of a feather flock together, the case study of gender separation in Taiwan. The study research questions include: How do Taiwanese perceive gender separation in Taiwan? What role do Taiwanese culture and traditions play in gender separation in Taiwan?Over the past decade, Taiwan's female labor force has increased twice as much as that of men, making the gender gap in labor forces smaller. In Taichung City, gender separation seems to be a notable way of association and social interaction in schools, workplaces, religious worship centers, and other social gatherings. This gender separation seems to be linked to the culture, social origin, traditions, and gender attractions of the Taiwanese. Junchao reported that gender separation had an impact on the ethnic groups of the local Taiwanese people, the impact was more on the males than the females. Reports show that socio-cultural and school-related features are the biggest factor that influences gender decisions in Taiwan. Xie, Deng, and Ma, reported that Chinese education and social behavior are influenced by gender.

Seminar paper from the year 2023 in the subject Pedagogy - Media Pedagogy, , language: English, abstract: The study examines the perception of university students regarding cyberbullying and its effects on university student¿s social behaviors in Nigeria. The study utilized the basic qualitative design to determine the perceptions of 18 university students regarding cyberbullying in Nigeria. The Interview method was used as an instrument for data collection. The interviews were designed based on the two research questions that guided the study. First and second coding were used to analyze the responses of the participants. The findings revealed that university students in Nigeria perceived adequate knowledge and awareness regarding cyberbullying. In addition, the students affirmed the effects of cyberbullying to include encouraging stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, unhappiness, poor sleep, school phobias, alcohol, smoking behavior, substance abuse and lowered self-esteem, eating habits, reading interest, and commitment to academic activities among university students in Nigeria. Based on these findings, one would reasonably conclude that university students in Nigeria are possibly aware of the effects of cyberbullying among university students in Nigeria. The findings of this study also provide Nigerian legislators to enact relevant laws, sanctions, and enforcement. This would provide a clear direction to the activities of young Nigerians in cyberspace. The study therefore proposed adequate awareness, sensitization, and enforcement of cyber laws in Nigeria.

Academic Paper from the year 2023 in the subject Pedagogy - Miscellaneous Topics, , language: English, abstract: The study examines the effect of brainstorming, storytelling, and game-based learning on the academic achievement of pupils in primary schools in Nigeria. The study employed a quasi-experimental non-equivalent posttest group design. Three intact classes were used for the study, which was made up of 109 pupils (that is, 52 pupils in the experimental group and 57 pupils in the control group) in the 2022/2023 academic year from the sixth grades in three randomly selected primary schools. The 52 pupils were randomly assigned to the three experimental groups (brainstorming, storytelling, and game-based learning). The 57 pupils from the second arms of the same class and school were assigned to the three control groups (conventional teaching method). 25 structured items were used as an instrument for data collection. The instrument was subjected to construct validity by the expert judge. Cronbach¿s Alpha reliability coefficient was employed and a reliability coefficient Alpha of .83 was obtained. Mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the collated data.According to the United Nations Children¿s Fund Assessment (2023), three out of four primary school pupils in Nigeria are poor in literacy and numeracy subjects representing 75 percent of the total number of school children in Nigeria. This poor learning crisis in Nigeria has made several children unable to read or solve simple math problems at the primary school level. This difficulty in learning has not only hindered children¿s opportunities to learn literacy and numerical skills but it has also advanced as one of the factors responsible for out-of-school children in Nigeria based on drop-out rate. Experts cite reasons for the underachievement of pupils in Nigeria schools to include poor instructional pedagogies and didactics, class size, teacher-students ratio, school supervision, poor communication, and poor teaching and learning materials.Despite the efforts to rebuild basic education in Nigeria, pupils¿ academic achievement in primary schools in Nigeria is still low in terms of pupil¿s learning outcomes. Reports from the five-year basic common entrance examination conducted in Edo State, Nigeria revealed the percentage scores of pupils that scored credit and above in the examination as follows; 59.2% in 2018, 65.3% in 2019, 48.7% in 2020, 68.6% in 2021, and 51.4% in 2022.

Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2022 in the subject Pedagogy - School System, Educational and School Politics, grade: 75/100 (B), , language: English, abstract: The main objective of this study was to examine the perceptions of teachers, school administrators, faculty members, and department chairs on the strategic aspects of the Taiwanese educational system lessons for Nigeria. The study sifted through the debates surrounding the Nigerian education system. Compulsory 12-year schooling, higher education, teacher education, special education, arts education, supplementary, and continuing education were also examined as strategic aspects of the Taiwanese education system. Because the study sought to view only Taiwanese teachers, school administrators, faculty members, and department chairs about the strategic aspects of the Taiwanese education system, an ex-post facto research design was deemed most appropriate for the study. A questionnaire checklist was used in the study to elicit the perceptions of 179 teachers, school administrators, faculty members, and department chairs in public institutions in Taiwan. The instrument was reviewed by experts for content validity. Based on the judge¿s understanding of the strategic aspects of the Taiwanese education system, their views and opinions were sufficiently qualified to provide insight into the reliability of the instrument. Data were analyzed using percent frequency, means, standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC).
