Originally from England, her interest in hedgehogs - Britain's most popular animal - stems from childhood. It was during a stay with relatives in the English countryside that she first encountered these spiny little creatures. Her aunt told her that hedgehogs love the taste of milk, and if she put out a saucer of milk for them, they would come around for a visit. So she did... they did... and a lifelong fascination was born.
