Are we dust in the wind, or are we human beings with a purpose? Are we born to live alone or thrive together? These are questions that have rocked my foundation. Simply Put is my attempt to propose questions in order to find answers. In my search for understanding, I have allowed life to unfold with its wonders and complexities. It is my sincere hope that you will join me on this voyage.

La edición de textos va precedida por un estudio preliminar que abarca una breve introducción a la narrativa sefardí moderna en la que se comentan los comienzos de la literatura secular en judeoespañol. A continuación, se presentan las ediciones judías de Robinson Crusoe, esto es, las adaptaciones asquenazíes en yídish y en hebreo, y las sefardíes en judeoespañol. Gipartexx - Begegnung mit einer unbekannten SpeziesUnendlich riesig erstreckt sich der Kosmos, in dem Milliarden von Sonnensystemen ihn zu füllen scheinen, obwohl in den Weiten des unbegrenzten Raumes ein luftleeres Nichts kaum endenwollend einem begegnet, wer denn sich auf Reisen durch ihn begibt. Schon lang waren sie unterwegs, Zeit spielte nicht die geringste Rolle in ihrem Bewußtsein, weil diese lediglich die Menschen beschäftigte. Noch betrug die Distanz zu diesem herrlich blau anzuschauenden Planeten an die 180 Millionen Kilometer, ein wenig weiter als des Fixsterns Licht diesen erhellte, für die Gipartexx ein Katzensprung, zumal sie just einen Kurztrip von rund 6 Millionen Parsecs hinter sich hatten...

Haiku, eine alte japanische Lyrikform, die mit nicht mehr als 17 Zeilen auf ein Bild oder ein Geschehen hinweist ohne zu beschreiben. Haiku geben dem Schweigen Raum. Thema ist die Natur und der Mensch als Teil derselben. Form und Themenbereiche haben sich im Wandel der Zeit verändert und nähern sich moderner Kurzlyrik an. So stehen dreizeilige neben zwei- und einzeiligen Haiku. Bei den Tanka wird hier die traditionelle Form beibehalten.

Jedes Gedicht für sich ist ausdrucksstark und relevant und zusammen mit den anderen ausgewählten Gedichten ergibt sich eine Sammlung aus älteren und neueren Werken, die durch den roten Faden "Graue Panther" und "Corona" zusammengehalten werden. Eindrucksvoll schaffen es die Gedichte mit sehr wenigen treffenden Worten eine Welt aufzubauen, alles Wichtige zu beschreiben und diese "Welt" zum Ende eines Gedichtes wieder zu verlassen.

MANIC! is a book I have wanted to write for years. My mania was something I struggled to put into words and could only hint at in my previous work. It took a few health scares and some courage to finally create this over the course of the past year. I hope that by reading this, you'll discover that those who deal with mania are so much more than having "psychotic" tendencies. Being manic consists of highs and lows, but it can also be a superpower, too. For example, most people who struggle with bipolar disorder are creative and are loving, and filled with passion and strength. This is just my perspective on what I've experienced with my mental health, but I hope it will open your eyes to reducing the stigma that comes with these kinds of illnesses. I can't wait for you to come along for an amazing roller coaster of emotions from this new poetry collection. It's my best writing yet, and the MANIC! madness is just beginning.
