Uusi ntamo-teoslaitos sisältää originaalin ja käännöksen sekä Erika Pihlin huomautukset, jälkisanat ja "Turun linna" -runosuomennoksen romaanintekijän esikoiskokoelman SKUGGOR OCH DAGRAR (1881) balladista "Åbo slott". Romanssimuotoa ja historiallista kuvaelmaa lähestyvä TURUN LINNASSA ei saanut ylistystä tai juuri ymmärrystäkään ilmestymisaikanaan, eikä sen laatijaa ole muistettu kovin hyvin, mutta se kelpaa yhä lukea ja sen lajia, rakennetta, tyyliä, merkitystä ja arvoa yhä pohtia osana Ranskan vallankumouksesta alkaneen modernin ajan itseymmärrystä ja Suomen kirjallisuuden modernia murrosta.
