Anthony Joseph Drexel Biddle Sr. was an eccentric millionaire and an amateur boxer, he was also a pioneer of combatives in the United States of America. Die Betroffenen allerdings hatten sich über eine lange Zeit hinweg mit den Folgen des Krieges, den demografischen Veränderungen einer dezimierten Bevölkerung, einer zerstörten Infrastrukturund der Bewältigung vieler Gewalterfahrungen auseinanderzusetzen.Die Studie nimmt die Jahre nach dem Dreißigjährigen Krieg in den Blick und entwickelt an diesem Fall ein Raster für einen reflektierten Begriff von "Nachkriegszeit" in der Vormoderne. Dabei zeigt sich auch, dass nicht von einer harten Zäsur zwischen Krieg und Frieden, sondern von einem längeren Übergangszeitraum gesprochen werden muss. Als Beispiel dient die kursächsische Stadt Zwickau, die zwischen 1631 und 1650 vom Dreißigjährigen Krieg immer wieder durch Belagerungen, Plünderungen und Truppenstationierungen betroffen war. Auf der Mikroebene werden die wirtschaftlichen und politischen Wiederaufbauversuche durch Rat und Landesherrn, Integration und Exklusion gesellschaftlicher Gruppen wie ehemaliger Soldaten und Migranten untersucht und anhand von qualitativen Zeugnissen wird auch die mentale Verarbeitung des Krieges analysiert.

Rudolf Trenkel was a resident in Thorn, West Prussia which came following the Versailles Treaty a part of reborn Poland. Trenkel details the continuing persecution of Germans, who had lived in West Prussia from time immemorial by the Polish government and people who were attempting an ethnic cleansing of the land. He also goes into attempts to steal and cajole further German territory, as well as land in the East from the White Russians, Ukrainians, and Russians.Extensively remarked upon is the desire of Poland for war against its neighbors in an attempt to establish a Greater Polish Empire in Central Europe. Rather than build up its new State, which consisted of German farms and industrial areas of Western Prussia, Poland allowed these to decay into poverty in the Polish military dictatorship's quest to be, and be recognized as, a Great Power.The years of Polish Rule over German areas prior to Poland's notice of full mobilization in August 1939, which is a de facto declaration of war, and the consequent German strike which overthrew the Versailles Polish State in September 1939 are detailed. Also are the massacres of ethnic Germans who were ripped from their homeland by the Versailles Treaty in ethnic cleansing which finally caused Germany to go to war against Poland after innumerable provocations and atrocities which launched the desired World War II on the part of Western warmongers.This is a book by a man who lived through these terrible times and his desire to set the historical record straight from the victor's history of the era.

This is the continuing saga of protagonist Morgan Jones' attempt to set America on a course much different than the one it is now pursuing. They randomly encounter Morgan Jones and his troupe at a quarry that the boys stopped at for some swimming, rest, and relaxation. Jones convinces the boys that disaster for America is imminent. Jake and Johnny agree to join Jones' cause. Jones had heard of Jake's performance with the hobos and decided that he would be a suitable candidate to aid him in his campaign. It turns out that Jones had come across information that one of America's past invasions had inspired a group of agents from the invaded country to devise a plan to annihilate much of America's infrastructure. Over a period of years hundreds of explosives were planted at critical places within the country's railways, turnpikes, and electrical grids. At a designated time these explosives would be detonated simultaneously rendering the country without transportation, communication, and heat to survive the winter in the north. After this attack took place Jake's task would be to lead a particular population in the north to the south in order to survive the coming winter. Needless to say, Jake and Johnny experienced many adventures during their travels. At the same time, Jake's counterparts were also leading their minions southward to set up camps throughout the southern portions of the country. Jones' plan was to transform America's society from one that worshiped money, possessions, and fame to one that honored truth, honesty, and loyalty. And to transform America to a land that honored science above superstition. During this transition much blood was shed, but in the end Jones and his men defeated the traditionalists during America's second revolution and a new way was established throughout the country. This society would value men and women of science above celebrities, athletes, and politicians. Those who shunned the new way and desired to hold on to their Biblical beliefs would be judged by the statutes couched in their cherished tome. The BiblicalGod deems it appropriate to kill ones disobedient son, to kill ones promiscuous daughter, to kill one's bride if she comes to her wedding bed without the tokens of her virginity, to kill all the homosexuals, to kill anyone who curses God, to kill anyone who curses their mother or father, and so on. So, in short order, those intransigent stalwart traditionalists perished in droves in alignment with their Father's wishes. The country would now be free to pursue science without the religious impediment that it has faced over the centuries. Superstition of all sorts and varieties would no longer be free to taint the minds of the country's youth. Jones believed that through science many new technologies would bring prosperity once again to the land. Through science disease could be greatly reduced or eliminated. Through science perpetual energy sources could be implemented. Jones also knew that this was simply a single step in a staircase toward a sane and just society, but each journey must begin with a single step.

Wealthy protagonist Morgan Jones believes that his days are numbered. He has known for some time that America's religion as well as its history as taught to America's school children is fallacious. Due to his failing health he realizes that it is time to set the record straight. In order to do so he needs the assistance of one of America's most famous televangelists. He chooses the darling of America's faith healers Miriam Starbuck to fill this role. Miriam is kidnapped and taken to Jones' abode. Miriam is, of course, uncooperative at first. However, Miriam's reluctance is overcome when she is advised that tiny devices were deposited in her sedated body when she first arrived at Jones' villa. These devices were filled with a deadly agent which would be released at a predetermined time if she failed to accede to Jones' wishes. Part of Jones' strategy is to confront Miriam with the many inconsistencies and troubling passages in the Bible, and over time he forces her to admit that she is a fraud and that she has never cured anybody of anything. Eventually, Jones wins Miriam over and she becomes a willing accomplice. Jones knows that when he releases Miriam, religious leaders and many high ranking politicians will want to be in attendance as she tells of her experience before every major news network in the country. When the time comes for Miriam's formal declaration it is within a large hall festooned with all sorts of decorations. Many of Miriam's former religious cohorts are in attendance. The Vice President of the United States is also in the audience. This presents Jones the opportunity to confront these religious leaders and prove to the world that they are charlatans as well as hypocrites. Jones takes advantage of this opportunity to challenge the VP to take him up on a debate on various topics of historical interest to Jones. The VP cannot refuse under the circumstances. After Jones is successful in the first half of his adventure he then sets his sights on revealing the fanciful rendition of America's history peddled by the many blasphemers of the truth. He is, of course, successful. Along the way, some useful and unique observations are made concerning religion, science, and America's contrary view of those countries different from our own.
