In diesem Heft wird das vom damaligen Hauptmann im Regiment Prinz Albrecht Chevauxlegers, von Gersdorff, geführte Journal während des Feldzuges 1807 wiedergegeben. Gersdorff machte den Feldzug als Adjutant des kommandierenden Generalleutnants von Polenz mit, übernahm - nach dem krankheitsbedingten Tod des Quartiermeisters Major von Egidy am 18.03.1807 - dessen Funktion (zumindest in Teilen) und legte damit den Grundstein für seine Karriere im Generalstab.Der hier vorliegende zweite Teil der Wiedergabe beginnt mit der Kapitulation von Danzig am 25.05.1807 und endet am 31.12.1807.

The last clear German victory in World War II occurred in the last days of April 1945 during the defense, loss and subsequent recovery of the Saxon city of Bautzen. On that occasion, when all was lost, the remnants of once powerful German units, such as the Panzer Divions Hermann Göring, Brandeburg or Grossdeutschland, inflicted a total defeat on the proud Soviet-Polish units, more robust and better armed, that supported the Red Army advance towards the capital of the Reich. Mit Bekanntwerden des sogenannten Versöhnungsabkommens zwischen Namibia und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland im Frühjahr 2021 zog die ehemals erste deutsche Kolonie, »Deutsch-Südwestafrika«, ein breiteres öffentliches Interesse auf sich. Der Krieg gegen und der Völkermord an Ova-Herero, Oorlam und Nama waren plötzlich in aller Munde.Doch Berichterstattung und Debatten machten vor allem deutlich, wie wenig die Deutschen - auch nach über einem halben Jahrhundert der Forschung - über ihre koloniale Vergangenheit im heutigen Namibia wissen. This book explores one of the most notorious aspects of the German system of oppression in wartime Poland: the only purpose-built camp for children under the age of 16 years in German-occupied Europe. The camp at Przemys¿owa street, or the Polen-Jugendverwahrlager der Sicherheitspolizei in Litzmannstadt as the Germans called it, was a concentration camp for children. The camp at Przemys¿owa existed for just over two years, from December 1942 until January 1945. During that time, an unknown number of children, mainly Polish nationals, were imprisoned there and subjected to extreme physical and emotional abuse. For almost all, the consequences of atrocities which they endured in the camp remained with them for the rest of their lives. This book focuses on the establishment of the camp, the experience of the child prisoners, and the post-war investigations and trials.
