Geburtstag gewidmet.57 Autorinnen und Autoren aus vier Kontinenten - Kolleg*innen, Freund*innen und Schüler*innen Heike Behlmers - haben in 52 Beiträgen versucht, das ungewöhnlich breite wissenschaft­liche Betätigungsfeld, das die Jubilarin in Lehre und Forschung vertritt, widerzuspiegeln. Dazu gehören verschiedenste ägyptologische und koptologische Themen, die Bibelwissenschaften sowie Gender Studies und die Wissenschaftsgeschichte. He was educated in Malawi, Wales, England, and the United States of America. He held a doctorate from Columbia University New York, and an Honorary Fellowship in writing from low University. He was Professor Emeritus in English at the University of Malawi. Chimombo was also a poet, play writer, short story writer, novelist, editor and literary critic.
