In recent years, global institutions like the UN and UNESCO have increasinglytreated obligations to preserve cultural heritage as obligations to uphold human rights.Owing to the relative novelty of this approach, little work has been done to see whatexactly such rights would be and how this treatment of cultural heritage could bejustified. Not only is it unclear what the foundations of a human right to cultural heritageare or what precisely such a right ought to entail, but it is equally uncertain what is meantby cultural heritage in the first place. Considering this, the aims of the Book are thefollowing: (i) provide a philosophically robust definition of cultural heritage and its socialvalue that could serve as a foundation of the human rights approach to cultural heritage;(ii) building on this understanding of cultural heritage, provide a systematic conceptualanalysis of obligations to preserve cultural heritage understood in the language of humanrights. The Book defends a constructionist-inspired account of cultural heritage,according to which cultural heritage is not primarily about historical objects andpractices, but rather about how we employ such objects and practices to make sense ofour internal and external worlds, both as individuals and as communities. The present dissertation addresses the right to truth in the field of international human rightslaw. The objective is to verify the outlines of this right that make it unique, and which justify itsown (disputable) existence in the human rights scenario as a legally binding norm. Departingfrom a historical perspective of the emergence of this right in International Law, the intent is toanalyze the multiple debates that have marked the development of the right to truth throughoutthe past decades. It is explored, therefore, how the a priori abstract notion of truth became aright and the strict relation this has with the social mobilizations of victims of gross violationsof human rights. To accomplish this, the dissertation spans across the struggle, in particular,of the relatives of disappeared victims during the 1970's and 1980's when the dictatorshipsreigned in Latin America. It follows on the expansion of the right to truth during what has beenknown as the fight against impunity, until it reaches the main human rights courts. To finalize,it discusses the inclusion of the right to truth in the International Convention on the Protectionof All Persons from Enforced Disappearance and the measures more commonly used torealize such right. The dissertation concludes that the right to truth carries a singularity that iscrucial for the protection of victims of gross human rights violations.

Zur Aufarbeitung der Vergangenheit, obwohl diese mit dem 2021 fertiggestellten NS2-Projekt noch gegenwärtig ist ist es interessant, das (außen-)politische Interagieren in Bezug auf NS2 von der Entstehung des Pipelineprojekts bis zur ausgesetzten Betriebsgenehmigung zu erforschen. Das Ziel dieser Analyse ist es, eine Erklärung für das Handeln der Bundesregierung zu finden und die damit einhergehenden innen- und außenpolitischen Implikationen aus einer theoretischen Perspektive im Rahmen der Internationalen Beziehungen zu analysieren.

Lobbying is not only the subject of ongoing, heated debates in politics and the public sphere but has also been a focus of the social sciences for decades. This edited volume provides an overview of the current state of research on lobbying from the perspective of Public Choice as a subfield of political science and economics. After a brief introduction to the field, Part I provides an overview of basic concepts and political-economic theories of lobbying from the standpoints of various subfields of Public Choice. Subsequently, Part II investigates the various channels used by interest groups to influence policymakers, such as party donations, informational lobbying, hiring politicians, etc. These chapters also discuss the possibilities and limits of regulating the respective channels. Lastly, Part III sheds light on lobbying in selected regions (i.e., the United States, European Union, Russia, and China).

Kulturelle Dimensionen nach Hofstede werden als theoretischer Ansatz betrachtet, um die Kriterien für eine diverse Gesellschaft zu verstehen. Durch die Analyse eines fiktiven süddeutschen Unternehmens werden die Herausforderungen und Relevanz der Gleichstellung aufgezeigt. Abschließend wird eine Unternehmensleitlinie entwickelt und erläutert, gefolgt von einer Zusammenfassung der Ergebnisse und einem Ausblick auf zukünftige Überlegungen. Die vorliegende Arbeit bietet somit einen praxisorientierten Einblick in die Gestaltung von Vielfalt im Unternehmenskontext.Der 11. Deutsche Diversity Tag am 23.05.2023, initiiert durch die Charta der Vielfalt e. V., verdeutlichte die wachsende Bedeutung eines offenen und integrativen Arbeitsumfelds. Über 800 Unternehmen beteiligten sich aktiv an diesem Tag, was die Vielfalt in der Arbeitswelt hervorhob. Diese Vielfalt wird nicht nur ökonomisch geschätzt, sondern birgt weitreichende Vorteile, die durch die Vielzahl von Diversity-Leitlinien, Unterzeichner:innen der Charta der Vielfalt und innerbetrieblichen Maßnahmen und Diskussionen unterstrichen werden.

Die Evolution des Feminismus führt zur Definition und Thematisierung des Postfeminismus.Die Verbindung zwischen Postfeminismus und "Sex and the City" wird durch eine Analyse verschiedener Aspekte der Serie hergestellt. Die vier Hauptfiguren ¿ Carrie, Samantha, Miranda und Charlotte ¿ repräsentieren einzigartige Qualitäten und Interpretationen von Liebe und Beziehung. Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2023 im Fachbereich Politik - Internationale Politik und Länderanalysen, Note: 1,0, Universität Regensburg (Institut für Politikwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Masterarbeit, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der vorliegenden Masterarbeit wird untersucht, warum sich der Ukrainekrieg zu einem toxischen Krieg hoher Intensität, langer Dauer und großer Eskalationsgefahr entwickelt hat. Dies wird bei Nichtberücksichtigung anderer Variablen dadurch erklärt, dass der Ukrainekrieg ein interkultureller Konflikt im Sinne von Samuel P. Huntingtons Theorie des ¿Kampfs der Kulturen¿ (¿Clash of Civilizations¿) ist. Ein Konflikt ist diesem Ansatz zufolge interkulturell, wenn Konfliktparteien aus zwei unterschiedlichen Kulturkreisen aufeinandertreffen. Huntington kennt zwei Formen interkultureller Konflikte, die zu Kriegen eskalieren können: Bruchlinienkonflikte mit intensivem Identitätsbezug an den Grenzen zwischen Kulturkreisen und Kernstaatenkonflikte zwischen dominanten Mächten verschiedener Kulturkreise. Der Ukrainekrieg lässt sich der Arbeit zufolge nicht als Bruchlinienkonflikt bzw. -krieg einordnen, der sich an der Grenze zwischen zwei Kulturkreisen zwischen zwei Konfliktparteien, die unterschiedlichen Kulturkreisen angehören, abspielt, denn die Ukraine und Russland stehen sich kulturell zu nahe, auch wenn die Ukraine als orthodoxes Land westlicher beeinflusst ist als der orthodoxe Kernstaat Russland. Es wird jedoch aufgezeigt, dass bei erweiterter Betrachtungsweise, die die Unterstützer der Ukraine einbezieht, ein interkultureller Konflikt in Form eines Kernstaatenkonflikts vorliegt. Dieser wird indirekt und direkt ausgetragen hauptsächlich zwischen Russland und dem Kernstaat des Westens, den USA, denen sich fast die gesamte westliche Welt angeschlossen hat. Daneben weist der Ukrainekrieg vor allem im Verhältnis zwischen Russland und der Ukraine einen starken Identitätsbezug auf, weil die Konfliktparteien auf kulturelle Gegenstände aus den Bereichen Religion, Sprache und Geschichte intensiv Bezug nehmen. Zum Nachweis wurden Politikerreden, aber auch aktuelle Publikationen und Medienberichterstattung über die Politiken beider Kriegsparteien ausgewertet. Am Schluss der Arbeit wird vor Interventionen des Westens in andere Kulturkreise und einer Eskalation der aktuellen kriegerischen Entwicklungen zu einem Dritten Weltkrieg gewarnt.

To Live and to Die in History, engages with what we call the spectral returns of history and furthermore how these incessantly overwhelm our lived present by each time exceeding the possibility of a measured historical consciousness. By critically questioning Heidegger's history of the truth of Being and pursuing Derrida's deconstructive question, we attempt here to rethink a novel paradigm for a renewed philosophy of history oriented by a hyperbolical responsibility and an irreducible idea of justice for the singularity of both the past and the future dying and living in history.

Der Holodomor, das Töten durch Hunger, gilt heute in Europa als Völkermord an den Ukrainer*innen. Im Erntejahr 1932 und im darauf folgenden Winter starben durch staatliche sowjetische Repressalien wie Abgabequoten von über 90%, mehrere Millionen Menschen. Weil eine Erinnerungskultur in der Zeit der Sowjetherrschaft unterbunden wurde, konnte sich erst ab 1991, dem Zeitpunkt der ukrainischen Unabhängigkeit, eine solche im Land bilden. Dieses Buch zeigt eine Reihe von künstlerischen Collagen und Foto-Arbeiten zum Thema, die im Rahmen des Huder Erinnerungsprojektes IN MEMORIAM... durch Lernende einer neunten Gymnasialklasse und ihren Religionslehrer entstanden sind.
