Der FC Admira Wacker Mödling (kurz Admira, offizieller Name FC Trenkwalder Admira Wacker Mödling), ist ein österreichischer Fußballverein aus der niederösterreichischen Stadt Mödling, der ab der Saison 2011/12 wieder in der österreichischen Bundesliga spielt. Der Verein trägt seine Heimspiele im Maria Enzersdorfer Bundesstadion Südstadt aus, die Vereinsfarben sind Schwarz-Weiß-Rot. Die Admira wurde 1905 im Wiener Stadtteil Jedlesee gegründet und spielt seit 1967 in der Südstadt. 1971 kam es zum Anschluss des ehemaligen österreichischen Meisters und Cupsiegers SC Wacker; die Admira selbst wurde achtmal Meister, fünfmal ÖFB-Cupsieger und einmal Supercupsieger. Größte internationale Erfolge waren das Mitropapokalfinale 1934 sowie in jüngerer Vergangenheit das Viertelfinale im Europacup der Cupsieger 1990. Am 7. Juli 1971 kam es zum Anschluss des zweitklassigen SC Wacker aus Wien an den FC Admira aus Maria Enzersdorf und der damit verbundenen Umbenennung in FC Admira/Wacker. Der Fortbestand des achtfachen Meisters Admira blieb damit unberührt, die bisherigen Vereinsfarben Schwarz-Weiß blieben bestehen und auch die Vermarktung als fußballerisches Aushängeschild Niederösterreichs mit der Integrierung der Landesfarben Blau-Gelb wurde in dieser Form fortgeführt. Estuaries occur along many of the world's coastlines irrespective of geologic setting, energy regime, and depositional environment. They represent the interface between fluvial, coastal and marine environments and they contain the sedimentary record of geological changes among these systems. However, detailed case studies on the morphodynamics and sedimentary evolution of different estuarine environments are notably lacking. This book focuses on the use of high-resolution geophysical techniques, field observations and modeling to investigate the morphodynamics of estuaries on both glaciated and non-glaciated coasts and on different time scales. Papers in this book offer a new approach to nearshore and estuary studies, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary techniques and data integration. Results of these studies have important implications for estuary resource management and shoreline stability. This book will be of interest to sedimentologists, coastal and Quaternary geologists, environmental scientists, and coastal managers.

Wind erosion occurs in many arid, semiarid and agricultural areas of the world. It is an environmental process in?uenced by geological and climatic variations as well as human activities. In general, wind erosion leads to land degradation in agricultural areas and has a negative impact on air quality. Dustemissiongeneratedbywinderosionisthelargestsourceofaerosolswhich directly or indirectly in?uence the atmospheric radiation balance and hence global climatic variations. Strong wind-erosion events, such as severe dust storms, may threaten human lives and cause substantial economic damage. The physics of wind erosion is complex, as it involves atmospheric, soil and land-surface processes. The research on wind erosion is multidisciplinary, covering meteorology, ?uid dynamics, soil physics, colloidal science, surface soil hydrology, ecology, etc. Several excellent books have already been written about the topic, for instance, by Bagnold (1941, The Physics of Blown Sand and Desert Dunes), Greeley and Iversen (1985, Wind as a Geological P- cess on Earth, Mars, Venus and Titan), Pye (1987, Aeolian Dust and Dust Deposits), Pye and Tsoar (1990, Aeolian Sand and Sand Dunes). However, considerable progress has been made in wind-erosion research in recent years and there is a need to systematically document this progress in a new book.

This book provides for the first time a general overview of research activities related to location and map-based services. These activities have emerged over the last years, especially around issues of positioning, spatial modelling, cartographic communication as well as in the fields of ubiquitious cartography, geo-pervasive services, user-centered modelling and geo-wiki activities. The innovative and contemporary character of these topics has lead to a great variety of interdisciplinary contributions, from academia to business, from computer science to geodesy. Topics cover an enormous range with heterogenous relationships to the main book issues. Whilst contemporary cartography aims at looking at new and efficient ways for communicating spatial information the development and availability of technologies like mobile networking, mobile devices or short-range sensors lead to interesting new possibilities for achieving this aim. By trying to make use of available technologies, cartography and a variety of related disciplines look specifically at user-centered and conte- aware system development, as well as new forms of supporting wayfinding and navigation systems.
