Questo studio riporta le specie di pipistrelli registrate in due aree di mangrovie nel Parco Nazionale di Caguanes, a Cuba. Le catture di pipistrelli sono state effettuate durante la stagione delle piogge del 2016 e nelle stagioni piovosa e secca del 2017. Lo scopo dello studio era quello di caratterizzare la fauna di chirotteri nelle mangrovie per stimare il ruolo che questi animali svolgono in questo tipo di foresta. I pipistrelli sono stati catturati utilizzando reti a nebbia di 2,5 m di altezza per 12 m di lunghezza. In totale sono stati catturati 594 individui, appartenenti a 19 specie. Le specie più abbondanti sono state Artibeus jamaicensis, Brachyphylla nana e Nyctiellus lápidas, che hanno rappresentato l'80,33% delle catture.
