O presente estudo foi concebido para estudar a dinâmica populacional do bicudo do algodoeiro (Oxycarenus laetus KIRBY) em genótipos seleccionados (BT-121 e CIM-496) em relação a factores abióticos. A população máxima de insectos do algodão foi observada por cápsula (após a abertura das cápsulas) e por planta inteira durante o final de novembro no algodão BT-121 e CIM-496, respetivamente, em AARI, Faisalabad. A população da praga foi registada e os dados meteorológicos relativos aos factores climáticos foram recolhidos no Departamento Meteorológico (AARI), Faisalabad. O bicudo do algodoeiro foi também recolhido em quatro zonas de fábricas de descaroçamento em Taunsa Sharif, distrito de Dera Ghazi Khan. O bicudo do algodoeiro foi encontrado ao longo de todo o ano, mas em abril e no início de junho só foi encontrado perto das fábricas de descaroçamento. A população média máxima do bicudo do algodoeiro foi de 97, 58 e 43 por planta a distâncias de 100, 200 e 300 metros das zonas de descaroçamento, respetivamente. O BT-121 foi muito suscetível à população de insectos em comparação com o CIM-496. A população máxima foi observada perto das zonas de descaroçamento do que noutros locais. A temperatura tem uma correlação positiva significativa, enquanto a humidade relativa e a precipitação tiveram um impacto negativo na população de insectos.

Il presente studio è stato concepito per studiare la dinamica di popolazione della cimice del cotone (Oxycarenus laetus KIRBY) su genotipi selezionati (BT-121 e CIM-496) in relazione a fattori abiotici. La popolazione massima di cimice del cotone è stata osservata per bolla (dopo l'apertura delle bolle) e per pianta intera alla fine di novembre rispettivamente su BT-121 e CIM-496cotton presso AARI, Faisalabad. La popolazione di parassiti è stata registrata e i dati meteorologici relativi ai fattori atmosferici sono stati raccolti dal Dipartimento Meteorologico (AARI), Faisalabad. La cimice del cotone è stata raccolta anche in quattro aree di sgranatura a Taunsa Sharif, nel distretto di Dera Ghazi Khan. La cocciniglia è stata trovata durante tutto l'anno, ma in aprile e all'inizio di giugno è stata trovata solo vicino alle fabbriche di sgranatura. In der vorliegenden Studie sollte die Populationsdynamik der Baumwollwanze (Oxycarenus laetus KIRBY) an ausgewählten Genotypen (BT-121 und CIM-496) in Abhängigkeit von abiotischen Faktoren untersucht werden. Die maximale Population der Baumwollwanze wurde Ende November an BT-121 und CIM-496 bei AARI, Faisalabad, pro Samenkapsel (nach dem Öffnen der Samenkapseln) und an der ganzen Pflanze beobachtet. Die Schädlingspopulation wurde aufgezeichnet und die meteorologischen Daten bezüglich der Wetterfaktoren wurden von der Meteorologischen Abteilung (AARI), Faisalabad, gesammelt. Die Baumwollwanze wurde auch in vier Entkörnungsbetrieben in Taunsa Sharif, Distrikt Dera Ghazi Khan, gesammelt. Die Baumwollwanze wurde das ganze Jahr über gefunden, im April und Anfang Juni jedoch nur in der Nähe der Entkörnungsfabriken. Die maximale durchschnittliche Population der Baumwollwanze lag bei 97, 58 und 43 pro Pflanze in einer Entfernung von 100, 200 bzw. 300 Metern von den Entkörnungsanlagen. BT-121 war im Vergleich zu CIM-496 viel anfälliger für Wanzenpopulationen. Das Maximum der Population wurde in der Nähe von Entkörnungsanlagen beobachtet, weniger an anderen Orten. Die Temperatur weist eine signifikante positive Korrelation auf, während die relative Luftfeuchtigkeit und der Niederschlag einen negativen Einfluss auf die Wanzenpopulation zeigten.

La présente étude a été conçue pour étudier la dynamique de la population de la punaise sombre du coton (Oxycarenus laetus KIRBY) sur des génotypes sélectionnés (BT-121 et CIM-496) en relation avec des facteurs abiotiques. Une population maximale de punaises sombres du coton a été observée par capsule (après ouverture des capsules) et par plante entière à la fin du mois de novembre sur les cotonniers BT-121 et CIM-496 respectivement à l'AARI, Faisalabad. La population de ravageurs a été enregistrée et les données météorologiques concernant les facteurs climatiques ont été collectées auprès du département météorologique (AARI), Faisalabad. La punaise terne du coton a également été collectée dans quatre usines d'égrenage à Taunsa Sharif, dans le district de Dera Ghazi Khan. La punaise sombre du coton a été trouvée tout au long de l'année, mais en avril et début juin, elle n'a été trouvée qu'à proximité des usines d'égrenage.
