From daughter of musical visionary Frank Zappa, Moon Unit Zappa, comes a memoir of growing up in her unconventional household in 1970s Los Angeles, coming of age as part of the MTV generation in the 1980s as the "Valley Girl," and finding herself after losing her father, then her mother, and the fracturing of her longest relationships. When I wasn't writing short stories about my camels T'mershi Duween and Sinini, or about aliens or ballerinas or nuns, or alien ballerina nuns, I'd report on the happenings in the house or the world at large. I was political and wrote a letter to President Ford to get him to stop men from clubbing baby harp seals. I was ambitious and practiced signing my autograph in various handwriting styles. I was complimentary and wrote a letter to Tina Turner to let her know she is almost as good a dancer as me. I was boy crazy for Shawn Cassidy and wrote his name everywhere, followed by pages of scrawling my new name "Moon Unit Cassidy" in loopy cursive. I used my journals like a secret best friend I could tell anything to: "I'm sad. I wish my dad would take me with him to Europe." When I still lived at home and had no privacy, I'd write in code about really secret stuff so I had somewhere safe to be the real me, to vent about my feelings with impunity.As time went on, I loosened the reins on my dad-comparing and perfectionism in my journals. And in life. I had no choice. Rightly or wrongly, I believed I would never be as good as my dad, so I had to learn to live with plain old me. For Moon Unit Zappa, processing a life so unique, so punctuated by the whims of creative genius, the tastes of popular culture, the calculus of celebrity and the nature of fractured love has at times been eviscerating, at others, illuminating. This book provides a bidirectional investigation of Asia's spatiotemporality by asking how Asia is located and how localities are Asianized. Historical and theoretical inquiries into architecture and urbanism in order to trace a notional "common divisor" are integrated with readings of this Asian imagery. Such a common divisor is conditioned to Asia's phenomenal postcolonial subjectivation and showcases Asia's unique character. This book contends that the postcolonial condition of architecture in Asia suggests a potential and critical bridge to better understanding of the region. Theoretically, "display-ness" is a strategic and allegoric carrier that is in the focus of this book in order to emphasize the quality of display in a broader sense of time and space. Asia's architectural and urban spectacle thus is meaningly magnified and intensified with this notion of display-ness to ground the cohesive abstraction among ideological discourse production, innovative theorizations, and empirical phenomena in contemporary scholarship.

The Malay Nobat: A History of Power, Acculturation, and Sovereignty explores the history and meaning of the nobat, a court ensemble that has performed music for courts in Malaysia and Brunei with roots in the Islamicate world since Abbassid times. Raja Iskandar Bin Raja Halid examines the nobat spread throughout the Muslim empire and its emergence as a symbol of power and sovereignty. The author argues that the nobat was an important symbol of Muslim power and analyzes the effect of the nobat's appropriation by colonial powers and of its induction as part of an invented tradition in the process of nation-building a modern Malay state. The author ultimately shows how existing nobat ensembles are the last living musical legacy of the Muslim world.

This book is an oral history of the punk scene in Belfast from the mid-1970s to the mid-80s. It explores what it was like to be a punk in a city shaped by the violence of the Troubles, and how this differed from being a punk elsewhere. It also asks what it means to have been a punk - how punk unravels as a thread throughout the lives of the people interviewed, and what that unravelling means in the context of post-peace-process Northern Ireland. In doing so, it suggests a critical understanding of sectarianism, subjectivity and memory politics in the North, and argues for the importance of placing punk within the segregated structures of everyday life described by the interviewees. Belfast punk and the Troubles is an intervention in Northern Irish historiography stressing the importance of history from below, and will be compelling reading for historians of Ireland and of punk, as well as those interested in innovative approaches to oral history.

Effective visual communication has become an essential strategy for grassroots political activists, who use images to publicly express resistance and make their claims visible in the struggle for political power. Las infecciones del tracto urinario (ITU) son las enfermedades infecciosas más suaves que pueden causar infecciones peligrosas. En la estructura de la patología extragenital en la prematuridad también se presentan en el segundo lugar después de las enfermedades del sistema cardiovascular. El problema de las ITU se debe a las peculiaridades de la evolución clínica, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de las infecciones del tracto urinario durante el embarazo. La bacteriuria asintomática (IBU), que es una forma preclínica de ITU y se caracteriza por un curso recurrente, una baja proporción de autocuración, una alta elección de complicaciones para la madre y el feto.

La salud de las mujeres determina en gran medida la actitud del Estado hacia la atención sanitaria, especialmente hacia los servicios de salud maternoinfantil. La calidad de vida de cualquier mujer está determinada en gran medida por el estado de su sistema reproductivo, que en todo el mundo exige el cumplimiento de algunas de las causas de morbilidad femenina. Se sabe que las neoplasias de los órganos del sistema reproductivo de las mujeres se relacionan tanto con el nivel general de su morbilidad como con la mortalidad por neoplasias malignas. Mientras tanto, en la última década se ha observado un aumento en la frecuencia de neoplasias del sistema reproductivo, entre las cuales más de dos tercios se observan tumores benignos y formaciones similares a tumores. La transformación de enfermedades precancerosas en cáncer se puede lograr mediante una organización en gran escala del trabajo para promover un estilo de vida saludable entre las mujeres de todas las edades (prevención primaria) y un tratamiento administrado en una etapa gradual como resultado de exámenes periódicos y sistemáticos.

Die Gesundheit von Frauen bestimmt weitgehend die Einstellung des Staates zur Gesundheitsversorgung, insbesondere zu den Gesundheitsdiensten für Mutter und Kind. Die Lebensqualität einer Frau wird weitgehend vom Zustand ihres Fortpflanzungssystems bestimmt, was weltweit die Einhaltung einiger Ursachen weiblicher Morbidität erfordert. Es ist bekannt, dass Neubildungen der Organe des Fortpflanzungssystems von Frauen sowohl mit dem allgemeinen Grad ihrer Morbidität als auch mit der Mortalität aufgrund bösartiger Neubildungen zusammenhängen. Mittlerweile ist im letzten Jahrzehnt eine Zunahme der Häufigkeit von Neoplasien des Fortpflanzungssystems zu beobachten, wobei bei mehr als zwei Dritteln gutartige Tumoren und tumorähnliche Formationen beobachtet werden. Die Umwandlung präkanzeröser Erkrankungen in Krebs kann durch eine groß angelegte Organisation von Maßnahmen zur Förderung eines gesunden Lebensstils bei Frauen jeden Alters (Primärprävention) und eine schrittweise Behandlung durch regelmäßige und systematische Vorsorgeuntersuchungen erreicht werden.

Die Landschaft, ob natürlich oder städtisch, ist für das Leben eines jeden Menschen unerlässlich. Sie ist der Rahmen, der das Leben des Menschen ausmacht und in ihm präsent ist. Aus psychologischer Sicht löst sie Gefühle von Identität, Erinnerung, Territorium, räumlicher Verortung und Zeitlichkeit aus. Aus allgemeiner Sicht stagnieren die Stadt und die moderne Gesellschaft in einem technologischen städtischen Leben, in dem das menschliche Handeln oft unfruchtbar wird und das egozentrische Handeln der Rentabilität überwiegt. Infolgedessen fehlt es den Städten immer mehr an urbaner Kohärenz, d. h. an grundlegenden Elementen für die visuelle Wahrnehmung von Landschaften. Die zunehmende demografische Expansion trägt zur Vermehrung chaotischer Stadtlandschaften bei. Ohne intelligente Planung spiegelt sich die städtische Entmischung vor allem in den Stadtvierteln und den Ankunfts- und Abfahrtsbereichen wider. Das Sammeln von Erinnerungen an die Stadt Governador Valadares; das Nachdenken über die Veränderungen in der Ausdehnung des Stadtplans in Bezug auf die Eingänge der Stadt über die Hauptautobahnen: das Verstehen der individuellen und öffentlichen, bewussten und unbewussten Bilder der Bewohner, die Verbindung der Werte von Identität und Territorialität.

Das Problem der Harnwegsinfektionen ergibt sich aus den Besonderheiten des klinischen Verlaufs, der Diagnose und der Behandlung von Harnwegsinfektionen während der Schwangerschaft. Die asymptomatische Bakteriurie (IBU) ist eine präklinische Form der Harnwegsinfektion und zeichnet sich durch einen rezidivierenden Verlauf, eine geringe Selbstheilungsrate und ein hohes Risiko von Komplikationen für Mutter und Fötus aus.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the most sparing infectious diseases that can cause dangerous infections. In the structure of extragenital pathology in prematurity they are also presented in the second place after diseases of the cardiovascular system. The problem of UTIs is due to the peculiarities of clinical courses, diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract infections during pregnancy. Asymptomatic bacteriuria (IBU), which is a preclinical form of UTI and is characterized by recurrent course, low proportion of self-healing, high choice of complications for mother and fetus.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), indoor air pollution is the eighth health risk factor and is responsible for 2.7% of the world's illnesses. The purpose of this study is to carry out a quantitative survey of non-biological pollutants, specifically CO2, and biological agents, specifically fungi, and compare the results with the parameters established by Conama Resolution - RE 09/2003. For this assessment, the research was carried out in an administrative office located in the centre of Curitiba. The methodology applied consisted of carrying out laboratory analyses on the air conditioning filters and collecting indoor air in two different climatic seasons, then comparing the results with the legislation in force in Brazil, currently governed by Resolution RE 09/2003. It is hoped that this study will contribute to understanding the behaviour of these pollutants and also provoke critical reflection on the exposure of workers around the world in artificially refrigerated environments to the invisible risks that cause countless diseases.
