In this study, mathematical substructure of works of Dutch graphic artistM.C.Escher is examined. Mathematical effects in Escher's works can be classified in certain topics. Most important of them can be put in order as regular division of the plane, visual paradoxes and fictions on structure of perspective and geometrical topology. For each of these topics, it can be said that Escher is influenced by some certain names as well. Most important of them are Harold Coxeter, Roger Penrose and Albert Flocon. In the first part, relationship between mathematics and plastic arts is examined in general. In the second part, the life and early works of M.C. Escher are examined independently of maths. In the third part, mathematical side of Escher'sworks are studied under certain topics and in relation with some mathematicians.

Também descreve o cultivo, a colheita e a transformação do kenaf em produtos como sacos, pasta e papel, materiais biocompostos, absorventes, alimentos para animais, etc. A mudança do interesse internacional da utilização de fibras sintéticas para fibras naturais exigiu a necessidade de ressuscitar a produção de kenaf e a sua utilização para a produção de sacos, especialmente em países exportadores de matérias-primas agrícolas como a Nigéria. O kenaf é a terceira maior cultura de fibras a seguir ao algodão e à juta, cujo potencial ainda não foi aproveitado na Nigéria, apesar de o seu cultivo remontar à década de 1960 e de os governos da altura terem criado duas fábricas de transformação em Jos e Badagry (Nigéria). Apesar disso, a produção de kenaf ainda se encontra a níveis de subsistência, com informação técnica escassa e não documentada. However, Thermal control can only be achieved through understanding of the thermal performance of the building envelope in relation to relevant weather parameters. It is also becoming increasingly realized that much can be done to reduce cooling and heating loads and the energy consumption of air conditioned buildings through a proper choice of building envelope materials and envelope design.1 For the previous reasons, the whole scope of the different factors and parameters push to ask the following question : What are the passive solar buildings' dynamic behavior principles and strategies of increasing heating energy performance? In another words , How can we use the sun's heat to worm the building when it is cold without relying on any mechanical or electrical equipment?, Does The proper choice of building envelope materials affect the increasing heating energy performance and thermal comfort?

Most of the songs originated between 1850 and 1930. The need for clipper ships and sailing packets slowly disappeared in the mid to late nineteenth century, and the sea songs and chanteys soon followed. The sounds of the donkey engine and the steam capstan have replaced the chantey. The chantey and forecastle songs slowly moved from these vessels to the boarding houses, pubs, and along the waterfront of large seaports, keeping the tradition alive.* Several songs in this book are variations of older sea chanteys, while other songs are composed and sung in the tradition, using the voice as a vocal metronome with a pronounced rhythm.* At the turn of the century, there was a rejuvenation of interest in the history and the singing of seachanteys and sea songs with concerts and folk music collectors.

Eugene V. Smith as a youth became infatuated with flying. His art began in grade school, but his passion was always to become a pilot. As he grew his dreams grew also. During the Korean War "Gene" the name he was known as enrolled in pilot training and was denied due to his vision. From here his flying returned to his other passions, music, and art. This volume is a compilation of his dreams. Later in life Gene exhibited his art selling paintings at annual art guild exhibits and concluding with an art exhibit in Paris. A final dream of Gene's was to publish a comic book which was sent in to one publisher and denied. Sadly, Gene did not fulfill his dreams of flying or seeing his comic book come to life. We; his widow, children, and the art world lost Gene in 2009. Today we offer this book of his dreams taking flight through his art. One final note: the one man exhibit in Paris: that was located in Paris, Illinois at the art gallery and museum known today as The Link Art Gallery!
