This examination of the film editor's craft ranges from the beginning of cinema to the 21st century. Film editing, at its best when it goes unnoticed, is the least understood of the cinematic crafts. This book explains not only the "how" but also the "why" of this pivotal film making activity.

He was a long-term career soldier who joined the army as a boy at the age of fifteen. Throughout his thirty-year military career, he worked hard and played hard, which gained him credibility, earning him many promotions until he retired in 1992 as a major.He has always strived to help those less fortunate than himself and devoted much of his spare time in helping raise much-needed funds for many charities and organizations. His literary talents have in the past resulted in him writing articles for the for the Angling Times, the Sea Angler, and the Boat Angler magazines. In 1994, he also wrote Fishing Marks for the Sea Angler: Selsey Bill to Anvil Point. Following his retirement from the army, he has written this book, How We Built the Gambia Army. The title does not fully depict what the book is about as he also writes about the many in-country, charitable events that he led whilst serving in West Africa.This fabulous book and its content are the real-life stories of actual events and is believed to be one of the best Positive Mental Attitude books in publication today.

Sanna Kannisto's métier is nature photography. Like her role models, she considers herself both a scientist and an artist. And, in fact, her analytical gaze is in no way inferior to her creativity and passion. She creates moments of unusual beauty that also shed light on what has been previously concealed. Jörg Brüggemann hat sie fotografiert, von 2014 bis 2019 - 5 Jahre lang. Aktuell befinden sich die geltenden Mobilitätskonzepte in ständiger Veränderung und Diskussion. Die Autobahn ist in ihrer Grundform seit Jahrzehnten weitgehend unverändert. Wie lange noch? Brüggemanns Bilder könnten schon bald historisch gelesen werden. Die Autobahn ist das wohl monumentalste Bauwerk der Deutschen und Teil unserer kulturellen Identität und Geschichte. Schon in den 20'er Jahren konzipiert, mit Baubeginn im Nationalsozialismus, wurde ihr 1974 von Kraftwerk ein musikalisches Denkmal gesetzt. Sie steht für den unbedingten Zukunftsglauben der Nachkriegszeit, deutsche Ingenieurskunst, Reisen und Rasen ohne Tempolimit, aber auch für Staus, LKW-Schlangen und Massenunfälle. Brüggemann's pictures might soon be seen as historical documents. The highway is probably Germany's most monumental built structure and an integral part of its cultural identity and history. Designed in the 1920s and its first segments constructed under the Nazis, it was given a musical tribute by Kraftwerk in 1974. The Autobahn stands for the unconditional belief in the future of the postwar period, German engineering, driving without speed limits, but also for traffic jams, lineups of trucks, and multivehicle accidents. Brüggemann shares his fascination and doubts through his pictures. They pose questions about the present and future of mobility. How appropriate and sustainable is this gigantic infrastructure today, where unlimited growth and individual freedom on the one hand and ecology and public interest on the other hand meet in visible contradiction every day?Jörg Brüggemannis a photographer, lecturer, and curator from Berlin.
